Data Commercialisation Manager joins Digital Ad Development team

Fairfax Media’s Australian publishing arm has appointed Claire Gibson to the newly created role of Data Commercialisation Manager within the Digital Ad Development team. In this position, Gibson will lead the next phase of development of advertising related data products.

Responsible for growing the ad product suite and developing strategic data partnerships, Gibson will also work with advertisers to best utilise data to improve campaign performance across Fairfax Media’s digital network.

Gibson joins Fairfax from Beamly, where she was responsible for defining the sales strategy and execution of integrated ad campaigns with its network partners. Prior to that role, Gibson was a Data Specialist at Fairfax where she managed behavioural targeting advertising products.

“This is a pivotal role within Digital Ad Development and has been created to drive the commercial strategy for the valuable and extensive data at Fairfax Media. We have a track record of offering customers unique and transparent data-driven advertising solutions with access to more than 2,000 pre-built audience profiles and custom segments for brands,” Digital Ad Development Director Tereza Alexandratos said.

“Our continued commitment and investment in this area allows us to provide advertisers even more sophisticated ways to reach our premium audiences. We’re thrilled to have Claire return to Fairfax in this newly created senior role.”

Claire Gibson said: “I’m delighted to be back and excited about the opportunities ahead. A large part of my new role will involve utlising the Adobe Data Management Platform (DMP) to establish direct connections with advertisers’ marketing platforms. This will allow us to bring together a brand’s customer data segments with our extensive data sources to deliver more robust audience-based targeting solutions.”

Gibson’s appointment is effective immediately.
