Paul Junger Witt (born March 20, 1943 in New York City, New York) is an American film and television producer. He, with his partners Tony Thomas and Susan Harris (also his wife), produced such hit TV shows as Here Come the Brides, The Partridge Family, The Golden Girls, Soap, Benson, Empty Nest and Blossom. The majority of their shows have been produced by their company, Witt/Thomas Productions (alternately Witt/Thomas/Harris Productions), founded in 1975. Witt also produced the hit films Dead Poets Society, Three Kings, Insomnia, and the successful made-for-TV movie Brian's Song. He is a graduate of the University of Virginia.
He has been married to Susan Harris since September 18, 1983. He was previously married to Ann McLaughlin.
A Better Life is a 2011 American drama film directed by Chris Weitz. The screenplay, originally known as The Gardener, was written by Eric Eason based on a story by Roger L. Simon. Demián Bichir was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor.
Carlos Galindo (Demián Bichir) works as a gardener with Blasco Martinez (Joaquín Cosio) in Los Angeles, California. Blasco wants to return to Mexico and continually tries to persuade Carlos to purchase his business from him, which includes the work truck and gardening tools. Carlos's son Luis (José Julián) is in high school and is dating Ruthie Valdez (Chelsea Rendon), the niece of a local gang leader. Luis regularly goes to her house after school where gang members congregate. Luis is embarrassed by his father and, although he does not wish to follow in his footsteps, has a hard time committing himself to his education. However, his relationship with Ruthie and his friendship with Facundo (Bobby Soto) pushes him toward becoming a gang member.
"Better Life" is a song co-written and recorded by Australian country music artist Keith Urban. It was released in July 2005 as the fourth single from Urban's album Be Here. It became his seventh number one on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart and spent six weeks at that position. The song also went to number 44 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was written by Urban and Richard Marx.
The mid-to-uptempo song is driven by a chugging banjo part set against a distinctive drum pattern. The message of an optimistic future prevailing over current struggles pervades the lyrics, summarized by the chorus. Urban's electric guitar playing further decorates the song, especially in its outro.
The music video for "Better Life" directed by Chris Hicky portrayed Urban and his band playing the song in a Los Angeles culvert, intercut with scenes of a struggling young pair of lovers having their ups and downs, and finally ending up in the culvert to watch Urban. In April 2006 Urban won the CMT Music Awards Video of the Year for it. Urban closed that awards show with a live performance of the song, featuring a long interpolation of Bruce Springsteen's "The Rising" and backing vocals from a large choir consisting of displaced persons from the previous summer's Hurricane Katrina.

For the Holidays is the sixth studio album, and first holiday album, by American musician Marcella Detroit, released in April 2013 under Make Zee Records.
For the Holidays is the first holiday studio album by Detroit, and her third overall holiday release. Compared to the long-anticipated release of The Vehicle, the album came with little prior announcement. Detroit uploaded a simplistic music video for "California Christmas" (under the title "California Xmas") on 6 November 2013, announcing an upcoming full holiday album, Hollydaze. On 11 November, she uploaded the full album to TuneCore, with the news the album would be titled For the Holidays and would be available in the next ten days. The album was released exclusively on digital format on 22 November 2013.
Musically, the album is composed of songs which, according to Detroit, were written all in the prior ten years. As well as several new compositions, the album also includes all six tracks from the Happy Holiday and Holiday 2012 EPs.

Producer Paul Junger Witt and PJTV's own Roger L. Simon discuss the inspiration for A Better Life. Roger wrote the first script over two decades ago, and it's taken that long for the film to finally make it into theaters. Poliwood co-host Lionel Chetwynd says A Better Life is one of the most honest, apolitical films dealing with the subject of illegal immigration. Find out why.

Why is it that all the good stuff I got goes back to the same folks? This was a Danny Thomas Production (Andy Griffith Show) produced by Paul Junger Witt (Occasional Wife). The music is composed by George Aliceson Tipton, who also composed the classic themes to other Thomas and Witt shows like Soap and Benson. Then again, Mr. Tipton also did the music for Skidoo. I'm sure he was young and needed the money.
This one-season wonder had an amazing pedigree with stars like Michael Callan and Patricia Harty. But the people behind the scenes were major creative forces in the 60's, 70's and 80's. Executive Producer Harry Ackerman of Bewitched fame...Producers like Bob Claver who hatched The Partridge Family...And the phenomenal Paul Junger Witt who was a part of an incredible list of TV movies such as Brian's Song and series like Soap, Benson, and The Golden Girls...HOW did this show fail?!!!
