  • Work. New job is lots of fun. I get on well with all my coworkers, and the customers all seem to like me. Also I am Getting Things Done which is very satisfying. Finances are still up the swannee for various reasons, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Hoping it isn't a flamethrower. I am doing long shifts on Monday, Tuesday and Saturday, a short shift on Wednesday and a floating short shift where I do maintenance stuff and sort the cellar out and things, currently on a Friday. Do feel free to pop in and see me at work if you're in the area.

  • Blogging. Um... yesterday's post seems to have got me a LOT of attention. Hello attention. I only post something THAT good about once a month. Mostly it's rambling about Doctor Who and Batman these days. But I do link to lots of other people who make incisive posts... Anyhew, I don't tend to plan blog posts in advance, they just come spewing out when they are ready, so don't expect a weekly "I will be posting X this week" post from me, like you get from some bloggers. I am rambly rather than organised, sorry.

  • Other internetty stuff. Clearing out facebook is an utter pain. Why you can't have a tool like manage twitter, so you can tick boxes next to inactive groups and leave them all at once, I will never know...

  • Life. There are ups and downs at the minute. [personal profile] magister's plans to move to Yorkshire have taken a bit of a knock, which is frustrating, and there's stuff going on for Holly at school which I'm not entirely happy about... But [personal profile] matgb is still awesome and lovely, and the doggies are still cute. The house is still a tip, like, but you can't have everything.

Sounds like things are starting to get better for you, especially in the financial arena! I'm glad to hear it. :-)

Sorry to read about [personal profile] magister's moving problems; and as for Holly, too many schools seem to have problems with any child who won't be forced into a round (or square, or star-shaped for that matter) hole. Good luck with that, and also well done with the job!

Sorry, either I have not been paying sufficient attention (likely!) or my mind is like a sieve (nearly as likely), but I must have missed the news of the new job.
So belated congratulations, here and now. :-)

Hello! I'm Jennie (known to many as SB, due to my handle, or The Yorksher Gob because of my old blog's name). This blog is my public face; here is a list of all the other places you can find me on t'interwebs.

Flattr this

I am a proud Lib Dem and make no apology for it. I joined because the Liberal Democrats exist to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no-one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity (from the preamble to the party's constitution). If you think that's a good plan, why not help the party?
