Critics Campus 2016

Now in its third year, Critics Campus is MIFF’s intensive week-long lab of panels, workshops mentoring and writing, designed to provide emerging Australian film critics a unique platform to nurture their talent in a live festival setting. Since participating in the lab, alumni have written for publications including The Age, Senses of Cinema, The Monthly, The Saturday Paper, Junkee, The Lifted Brow, The Hollywood Reporter, FilmInk and more.

We would like to extend our congratulations to the eight participants for 2016 season: Dominic Barlow (NSW), Ella Donald (QLD), Jessica Ellicott (NSW), Tanya Farley (VIC), Andréas Giannopoulos (VIC), Aimee Knight (SA), Bella McNeil (VIC) and Doosie Morris (VIC).

We would also like to offer a warm welcome to our 2016 mentors: Jonathan Rosenbaum (USA), David Jenkins (UK), Stephanie Bunbury (UK/Australia) Chris Fujiwara (USA/Japan), Rebecca Harkins-Cross (Australia) Philippa Hawker (Australia), Alexander Heller-Nicholas (Australia) and Sarah Ward (Australia).
