Published six days a week, Monday through Saturday, the Cairns Post is Tropical North Queensland’s only daily newspaper and has been a trusted part of the community for more than 130 years. Reaching a weekday audience of 69,000 readers and the Cairns Weekend Post reaching 77,000 readers, we have the broadest geographical reach of any regional newspaper in Australia.

It’s a big and diverse community, so the new-look Cairns Post delivers some big and diverse content to match.New sections will target advice and information for local families, how to be a tourist in your own Tropical Far North backyard, with grassroots yarns from all corners of the region.

There’s fishing and the outdoors, employment, a new-look Monday sports lift-out and added sports commentary during the week, plus tips on health and wellbeing and more social photos. The Give It A Go section will encourage new ventures, new passions, while the hugely successful Cairns Eye magazine and Realestate guide on Saturdays are firmly on the ‘favourites’ list, along with the ever-popular CarsGuide lift-out. A new entertainment and TV guide, called Play will be making its debut as a lift-out each Thursday, along with a Business Insight feature by respected local reporter Nick Dalton. It’s a brand-new look, but with all the old values of relevance and respect for the local community.
