Compared to other European nations, the French are not avid newspaper readers, citing only 164 adults out of every 1000 as newspaper readers.
The French press was healthiest in the aftermath of World War II. A year after the end of the war, 28 papers had a combined circulation of about7 million. However, seven years later that figure had been nearly halved.
This decline was principally due to the greater popularity of the broadcast media and the subsequent diversion of advertising revenues. Recently, newly produced free papers have further weakened the established press. Still, 80 daily papers remain, and there are a wide range of weeklies, many of which now feature internet sites.
Regional papers have remained relatively unaffected by the decline, with provincial newspapers commanding a higher degree of reader loyalty. For example, Ouest-France, sells almost twice as many copies as any of the national dailies.
In the early 21st century, the best-selling daily was the regional Ouest-France in 47 local editions, followed by Le Progres of Lyon, La Voix du Nord in Lille, and Provençal in Marseille. In Paris the Communists published l'Humanite while Le Monde Figaro had local rivals in Le Parisien, L'Aurore and the leftist Libération.

November 12, 2012 - A patriotic march for French values and culture, and against radical Islam, was blacked out by the France's politically correct media. Over the weekend, protestors chanted against Islamic fascism and about the French victory over Arab in invaders in 732 A.D. It was the first march of its kind in France. A broad coalition of groups from across France came together because they feel like they are losing their country to radical Islam, Sharia law, and a politically correct establishment that encourages the spread of Islam. "Sharia law is slowly being enforced in our country and we want to march here to protest that because our government is doing nothing," one French demonstrator said. "The French people - they want to defend their culture, their history - they are cal...

A television network in France has been hacked by a group claiming ties to the Islamic State.
Nice authorities have turned down the request of French anti-terrorist police to delete footage from surveillance cameras and any other videos which captured the fatal truck attack on Bastille Day. The request was sent by Anti-Terrorist Sub-Directorate (SDAT), a special police division battling extremism, to the mayor of Nice’s office on Wednesday, according to the paper. Le Figaro managed to obtain the copy of the document in which SDAT, citing articles of the criminal and penal codes, demands the city authorities delete “completely” nearly 24 hours of the attack captured on cameras on the Promenade des Anglais. “Delete the recordings between July 14, 2016 22:30 and July 15, 2016 18:00,” the documents demands. The anti-terrorist police named six cameras which recordings should be “par...

Get your free audiobook or ebook: http://yazz.space/mabk/30/en/B01DM2FLEC/book This book offers an original and practical approach to the French of media and communications. Written entirely in French, it aims to increase the student's awareness of the special kind of language needed for marketing in the French-speaking world. The method focuses on extracts taken from technically orientated newspapers and magazines which deal with the world of marketing and advertising. In each chapter the extracts are followed by exercises concentrating on vocabulary, syntax, questions on the text, oral exercises, exposés, debates and written exercises. Part I deals with the world of advertising while Part Ii looks at information and communications. Care has been taken to avoid an excess of difficult jarg...
Officials of the French defense ministry inquiring into the Scorpene submarine data leak to The Australian newspaper in August have alleged that the source of the leak was linked to German defense firm ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS). French newspaper Le Monde, quoting multiple sources, said it was driven by competition between TKMS and French firm DCNS for export of submarines to various countries. DCNS Chief Executive Officer Hervé Guillou believes that the leak case has not dented India’s confidence in the French company. “I went to the Indian authorities for reassurance. We formed a group working on the issue with them,” Guillou told Le Monde. However, sources in the Ministry of defense told The Indian Express that defense Minister Manohar Parrikar had not met Guillou or any othe...
The French cops are under constant attack from the muslim scum. On 10/08/2016 they were attacked by afro-muslim criminals in the town of Viry-Châtillon. The kikestream media have completely censored the race and religion of the attackers: they've referred to them only as "youths". Much like their USA colleagues, the French cops denounce a lack of support from the ((( high ranks ))).

Contains violence! This is a compilation of videos (collected under Fair Use for educational purposes) which in the end all tie together as a larger whole. The mainstream media only shows part of the story, while the alternative media gives a lot more information about the things most people don't even heard of yet. Let us open our eyes and see the bigger picture of it all! I do not necessarily agree to every detail presented in these videos, but I think it's important that we see the news from more than one angle. I did not alter the videos substantively in any way, but I had to change one song due to copyright protection. It is also one of the most secretive, and has been duly nicknamed the “African North Korea”. What is everyday life like under the dictatorship? Why do so many Eritreans flee the country in a bid to reach Europe? Our reporters Nicolas Germain and Romeo Langlois were given exceptional permission to report from Eritrea, which ranks last on the Reporters Without Borders press freedom index. It's very rare for Western journalists to go to Eritrea. FRANCE 24 has just spent a week there. Although often accompanied by government “minders”, our reporters tried to find out ...
