A shopper who filmed a man purportedly being grabbed by staff at a Coles store at Belmont Forum said he felt concerned about the force they used to remove him.
Mr Khan, who filmed the ordeal, said it was disturbing to see.
"Whatever the reason, manhandling is not required," he said.
Mr Khan said that it seemed the only thing the man had done wrong was to enter the store after Coles' closing time of 5pm and that he did not seem intoxicated or disruptive.

Mr Khan managed to get his trolley out of the way as the Coles employee wrestled the man to the ground in front of him - before both Coles staff pinned the man to the ground and called for security.
In a reply to a Facebook post about the incident, Coles said they were concerned to see the footage and were investigating the matter.
