Crowded House's triumphant return to the Sydney Opera House forecourt proved a ratings winner for ABC which broadcast the group's final of four sold out concerts live on Sunday night.
The show drew in 643,000 viewers, according to OzTAM's overnight ratings, who tuned in to hear frontman Neil Finn make one last comment about the residents of the Toaster apartment building at Circular Quay who have complained about the noise from the Opera House's alfresco concerts.

Crowded House return to the Opera House
Thousands of fans packed the Sydney Opera House forecourt to see the band recreate their iconic farewell concert twenty years ago. Vision: Today Show, Channel Nine.
During the first concert on Thursday night, Finn told the crowd: "Let's wake up Alan Jones" – the 2GB host is a resident of the famous Toaster building.
On the final night, Finn offered an olive branch to the residents after a Twitter spat with one who complained about his in-concert comments.
"To all the nice people in the Toaster, when they bought their $7 million apartment they thought 'God there's going to be some nice music to listen to', let's hear it for them," Finn told the crowd, according to blog Music Feeds.
The ABC live show placed ninth behind test cricket and Seven and Nine's news and current affairs shows among the Crowded House demographic (aged 25-54) across five metro cities.
It was most popular in Sydney (of course); coming in sixth, just behind 60 Minutes and ahead of Sunday Night at ninth place.
Interestingly it was the least watched in Melbourne, home of the band and unofficial pub rock capital of Australia, with viewers more interested in Ten comedy Modern Family than tuning in to their sister city's concert (disgruntled?) – ranking 12th, with 58,000 viewers.
In Brisbane it rated in sixth spot, which equates to 57,000 viewers (just shy of Melbourne's figure), followed by Perth (seventh) and then Adelaide (eighth).
Every night a 5000-strong crowd at the Opera House watched the band celebrate 30 years since their formation and last week the band was inducted into the ARIA Hall of fame.

In the lead up to the final show Finn tweeted that the band "had an amazing time playing outside the SOH".
The concerts also marked exactly 20 years since the band played their Farewell to the World concert in the same spot.
Crowded House signed off with a fireworks display following their final song Better Be Home Soon.
