Aside from Blac Youngsta making headlines when he was wrongfully arrested outside of a Wells Fargo bank for withdrawing $200K of his money, he has won many fans over for his hilarious antics on social media. Flossing wads of cash—all hundreds of course—Blac has come a long way from his impoverished childhood.
Growing up in South Memphis, the rapper says he couldn't afford food so he began working a store and would take home leftovers after making false delivery calls. "I used to make false calls and s***, order food, and s*** so when it got closer for when we leave, and they don't come get the food, I just get the leftovers."
Once his place of employment closed down, he says he was then forced into the streets and began "swinging" and selling drugs to his family and friend's mothers. "At 12 and 13, I was selling crack." He told DJ Vlad. "I was serving my aunties; I was serving my n**** aunties, my n***** mamas. I was serving whoever. I don't give a f*** if you a baby, if you want some crack, that's what we were doing." The Memphis rapper then goes on to explain to Vlad how he would sell fake bricks to his customers. "I used to serve n****s fake bricks, I ain't going to lie," asserted the rapper. "Getting $90,000 or something out of a n**** real fast back then because it was just a little bit cheaper...I used to have a lot of shootouts and s*** because I was selling n****s bull***t dope. I didn't care."
In the interview, Blac Youngsta talks about taking money his mother gave him for school clothes and flipping it by buying more drugs for resale, selling more weed than crack, and why he preferred to sell his family drugs.

Marc Lamont Hill stopped by VladTV to talk about growing up in Philadelphia, his brother going in and out of jail, what it was like to achieve a Ph.D, and his top five rappers. Marc talked about him and his brother's relationship and how he doesn't attribute his success and his brother's jail-ridden past to choices, "I think that's too simple, one it romanticizes my narrative, I made bad choices too, I made bad choices with him, we just didn't get caught. Lamont explained him and his brother were on the same level academically; his brother just had different types of needs. "In some ways, I got lucky, in some ways I had someone save me at the right time." Lamont goes on to talk about the fact that choices do matter, however making sure nobodies mistakes are over punished, while others are under punished. "Rich white people make the same mistakes as poor black people the difference is our mistakes are so hyper-scrutinized that we have no room for error."
Lamont also talked with us about his Ph.D. "Let me be clear I don't think Ph.D.'s are celebrated anywhere...I think in general as a nation we love popular culture figures... I think in general we live in a country that can be anti-intellectual....people like me cause I'm on TV if I wasn't on TV and i was saying the same sh*t no one would be like yooo that's that guy..." Hill explained him being on TV gives him a platform to speak on important issues and people should realize it's easier to get a Ph.D. than it is to get into the NBA. "We have to create opportunities for our young people to see a wider range of possibility... it's easier to play in the NBA, it's easier to get a Ph.D. than to play in the NFL." Hill also has some thoughts on the hip-hop community in general. "What I want for hip-hop is for us to be better than the world, to be better than what white folk is doing... I want us to be a threat."
Lamont also teaches a class on Jay-Z and Nas, which led to a conversation about who the best rapper is. Lamont gladly handed over his top five to Vlad picking, Jay-Z, Nas, Andre 3000, Lauryn Hill, and Black Thought.

Marc Lamont Hill sat down with DJ Vlad to discuss his choice on voting for a third party over the two leading candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. The VH1 Live host cleared up reports that he would vote for Trump telling DJ Vlad that "I'm not afraid of a Trump presidency, I would prefer Jill Stein for president because that's who I'm voting for. My preference isn't for Donald. I hope Donald Trump isn't president."
While a registered Democratic voter in Pennsylvania, the Nobody author explained why he decided to overlook the Clinton campaign and decided to vote for an Independent candidate, despite her slim chance to win. "I cannot morally reconcile voting for Hillary Clinton," he said while reiterating to viewers to vote with their conscience. "Killing innocent people abroad through predator drones is a moral non-starter. For me, vicious occupation of Palestine by the state of Israel is a non-starter. For me, supporting the death penalty in any circumstances in this country—given our histrory—is a moral non-starter, and quite frankly, [Hillary's] advocacy for policies from the '90s are moral non-starters."

Russell Simmons believes that money has nothing to do with one's happiness. Although many spend most of their days trying to make ends meet, whether to pay their bills or save up for their retirements, the mogul believes when their life ends, it's not going to matter.
The famed music mogul explained his stance further by explaining that the true goal in life should be enlightenment, not getting rich. When DJ Vlad commented about Russell making a lot of money during his career, Simmons pointed out that he's never chased money, but he's made a lot of money from doing the things he loves.
Later on in the interview Russell reacted to Eddie Griffin telling DJ Vlad that media wants to destroy the reputation of all Black entertainers, and Russell said that no one leaves this world clean. He then added that he doesn't want to speak directly about Cosby, but Simmons believes that where there is smoke there must be fire.

Tariq Nasheed stopped by VladTV to talk about moving to LA at only 17, his troubled past when he was younger, and hustlers supporting black communities and churches more than black churches do. Nasheed told Vlad he came to LA at just 17 and started hanging out in South Central, and Compton. Nasheed got into trouble when he first moved to LA and told Vlad he hung around a lot of hustlers, and gang members who are where the problem had arisen. "We got into a little altercation back in the day, and this was before a felony evasion, they didn't have felony evasion so back then if you ran away, you just got away. So the cops would chase us, we'd run... and we literally got into a helicopter chase with the police were after us," Nasheed explained he was involved in a gang fight and the police began chasing them, and he was caught and arrested. Nasheed got off on the crime due to more relaxed laws back in the 80s when he was younger, now however the laws have gotten heavier and Nasheed explained this is why people like Bobby Shmurda received such long sentences. "Bobby Shmurda didn't actually commit a crime, they got Bobby Shmurda on crimes that his so-called gang committed and that's why he got seven years... that's these all in-laws that they got us on right now so really they can fill the jails up."
Vlad asked Nasheed his thoughts on the black hustler being the backbone of the black community and not the black church and Nasheed definitely agreed. "Not the black church it's the black hustlers if you go back in history and the history of America, you'll see the people who fueled a lot of protection for the black society was the black hustlers..." Nasheed went on to talk about the history of black hustlers and how they've been helping the community since the 1960's including in the civil rights movement. Nasheed also spoke of the black panthers and how a lot of them were hustlers as well, which coincides with their heavy involvement in the black community.
Nasheed explained his view on how the black church has shifted into mainstream society and this is why he believes hustlers helped more in the black community. "People have used the church as a way to come up with a way... to overthrow systematic racism but the individuals in the dominant society they have co-opted the church, so they've stopped all that."

Growing up in South Memphis, the rapper says he couldn't afford food so he began working a store and would take home leftovers after making false delivery calls. "I used to make false calls and s***, order food, and s*** so when it got closer for when we leave, and they don't come get the food, I just get the leftovers."
Once his place of employment closed down, he says he was then forced into the streets and began "swinging" and selling drugs to his family and friend's mothers. "At 12 and 13, I was selling crack." He told DJ Vlad. "I was serving my aunties; I was serving my n**** aunties, my n***** mamas. I was serving whoever. I don't give a f*** if you a baby, if you want some crack, that's what we were doing." The Memphis rapper then goes on to explain to Vlad how he would sell fake bricks to his customers. "I used to serve n****s fake bricks, I ain't going to lie," asserted the rapper. "Getting $90,000 or something out of a n**** real fast back then because it was just a little bit cheaper...I used to have a lot of shootouts and s*** because I was selling n****s bull***t dope. I didn't care."
In the interview, Blac Youngsta talks about taking money his mother gave him for school clothes and flipping it by buying more drugs for resale, selling more weed than crack, and why he preferred to sell his family drugs.

Marc talked about him and his brother's relationship and how he doesn't attribute his success and his brother's jail-ridden past to choices, "I think that's too simple, one it romanticizes my narrative, I made bad choices too, I made bad choices with him, we just didn't get caught. Lamont explained him and his brother were on the same level academically; his brother just had different types of needs. "In some ways, I got lucky, in some ways I had someone save me at the right time." Lamont goes on to talk about the fact that choices do matter, however making sure nobodies mistakes are over punished, while others are under punished. "Rich white people make the same mistakes as poor black people the difference is our mistakes are so hyper-scrutinized that we have no room for error."
Lamont also talked with us about his Ph.D. "Let me be clear I don't think Ph.D.'s are celebrated anywhere...I think in general as a nation we love popular culture figures... I think in general we live in a country that can be anti-intellectual....people like me cause I'm on TV if I wasn't on TV and i was saying the same sh*t no one would be like yooo that's that guy..." Hill explained him being on TV gives him a platform to speak on important issues and people should realize it's easier to get a Ph.D. than it is to get into the NBA. "We have to create opportunities for our young people to see a wider range of possibility... it's easier to play in the NBA, it's easier to get a Ph.D. than to play in the NFL." Hill also has some thoughts on the hip-hop community in general. "What I want for hip-hop is for us to be better than the world, to be better than what white folk is doing... I want us to be a threat."
Lamont also teaches a class on Jay-Z and Nas, which led to a conversation about who the best rapper is. Lamont gladly handed over his top five to Vlad picking, Jay-Z, Nas, Andre 3000, Lauryn Hill, and Black Thought.

Marc Lamont Hill sat down with DJ Vlad to discuss his choice on voting for a third party over the two leading candidates, Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. The VH1 Live host cleared up reports that he would vote for Trump telling DJ Vlad that "I'm not afraid of a Trump presidency, I would prefer Jill Stein for president because that's who I'm voting for. My preference isn't for Donald. I hope Donald Trump isn't president."
While a registered Democratic voter in Pennsylvania, the Nobody author explained why he decided to overlook the Clinton campaign and decided to vote for an Independent candidate, despite her slim chance to win. "I cannot morally reconcile voting for Hillary Clinton," he said while reiterating to viewers to vote with their conscience. "Killing innocent people abroad through predator drones is a moral non-starter. For me, vicious occupation of Palestine by the state of Israel is a non-starter. For me, supporting the death penalty in any circumstances in this country—given our histrory—is a moral non-starter, and quite frankly, [Hillary's] advocacy for policies from the '90s are moral non-starters."

Later on in the interview Russell reacted to Eddie Griffin telling DJ Vlad that media wants to destroy the reputation of all Black entertainers, and Russell said that no one leaves this world clean. He then added that he doesn't want to speak directly about Cosby, but Simmons believes that where there is smoke there must be fire.

Nasheed told Vlad he came to LA at just 17 and started hanging out in South Central, and Compton. Nasheed got into trouble when he first moved to LA and told Vlad he hung around a lot of hustlers, and gang members who are where the problem had arisen. "We got into a little altercation back in the day, and this was before a felony evasion, they didn't have felony evasion so back then if you ran away, you just got away. So the cops would chase us, we'd run... and we literally got into a helicopter chase with the police were after us," Nasheed explained he was involved in a gang fight and the police began chasing them, and he was caught and arrested. Nasheed got off on the crime due to more relaxed laws back in the 80s when he was younger, now however the laws have gotten heavier and Nasheed explained this is why people like Bobby Shmurda received such long sentences. "Bobby Shmurda didn't actually commit a crime, they got Bobby Shmurda on crimes that his so-called gang committed and that's why he got seven years... that's these all in-laws that they got us on right now so really they can fill the jails up."
Vlad asked Nasheed his thoughts on the black hustler being the backbone of the black community and not the black church and Nasheed definitely agreed. "Not the black church it's the black hustlers if you go back in history and the history of America, you'll see the people who fueled a lot of protection for the black society was the black hustlers..." Nasheed went on to talk about the history of black hustlers and how they've been helping the community since the 1960's including in the civil rights movement. Nasheed also spoke of the black panthers and how a lot of them were hustlers as well, which coincides with their heavy involvement in the black community.
Nasheed explained his view on how the black church has shifted into mainstream society and this is why he believes hustlers helped more in the black community. "People have used the church as a way to come up with a way... to overthrow systematic racism but the individuals in the dominant society they have co-opted the church, so they've stopped all that."
