Watching TV has quickly become all about apps. And now, with the new TV app, you have one place to access shows and movies from multiple video apps — in one unified experience. The TV app lets you see all the movies and shows you’re watching. Find upcoming episodes. Get recommendations for new things to watch. See your entire iTunes video collection. You can even start watching a movie or show directly from the TV app. All without switching between individual apps.

Watch Now. The Watch Now section of the TV app lets you pick up watching where you left off. See the latest episodes as they become available. Or check out recommendations to find something new.

Library. Select the Library tab and see all the movies and TV shows you’ve rented or purchased from iTunes.

Store. Here’s where you’ll find the latest releases of movies and TV shows. You’ll also see curated recommendations for apps.

The TV app is also on your iPad and iPhone.

It’s the first place you go to start watching on your TV, but the TV app is also on your iOS devices. When you switch to them from Apple TV — or vice versa — the TV app stays in sync. So wherever you go, your TV experience goes with you.

Want to know the latest scores? Just ask Siri, and you’ll see up-to-the-minute stats. Want to see the actual scoring? Siri can take you right to the live broadcast.

Single Sign-onDo you like typing in user names and passwords for every TV app? We didn’t think so.

Now when you enter your cable or satellite subscription credentials on Apple TV, you get immediate access to all the apps in your pay TV package that support single sign-on. So you authenticate once and you’re done. Cue the applause sign.
