Canon 5D Mark IV or Canon 5D Mark III: Which one is right for you?

The questions always roll in when a new camera gets released on whether or not you should upgrade or not.
A lot depends on what you do and how you do it to determine if you should go with the Canon 5D Mark IV or Canon 5D Mark III.
I made this video to put them side by side and give you some thoughts on both of there specs and who each camera would be more.
For me as a working professional I see no reason why I personally wouldn't upgrade form the Mark III to the Mark IV. If you're a non working professional and yes I think that stipulation means something and you have a Mark III, unless you need to upgrade you don't have to.
As I have been saying for years, it's not the camera that makes you, it's you who makes the camera.

There would be some reasons worth switching over from Nikon but would video just be the strongest point? Hello dear Canon EOS 5D MK IV friends,
Welcome to the big English review about the new Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. I compared this camera with its predecessor in this video. So it will be the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV vs. the Canon EOS 5D Mark III. The low light performance has improved a lot in the new version and the build quality is really good. It features now 4K video with up to 30fps and full hd video with up to 60fps. If you need more go for HD, 720p, with a maximum rate of 120fps.
Really cool about the 5D MK IV is, that it features also WiFi now. So you can control the camera from your phone and transfer the photos direct to your smartphone to send them.

Canon EOS 5D Mark III
The Canon EOS 5D Mark III is a professional full-frame digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera made by Canon. It has a 22.3 megapixel CMOS image sensor.
Succeeding the EOS 5D Mark II, it was announced on 2 March 2012, the 25th anniversary of the announcement of the first camera in the EOS line, the EOS 650. It was also Canon's 75th anniversary. The Mark III went on sale later in March with a retail price of $3,499 in the US, £2999 in the UK, and €3569 in the Eurozone.

Canon EOS 5D
The EOS 5D is a 12.8 megapixel digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) camera body produced by Canon. The EOS 5D was announced by Canon on 22 August 2005, and at the time was priced above the EOS 20D but below the EOS-1D Mark II and EOS-1Ds Mark II in Canon's EOS digital SLR series. The camera accepts EF lens mount lenses.
The EOS 5D is notable for being the first full-frame DSLR camera with a standard body size (as opposed to the taller, double-grip "professional" camera body style). It is also notable for its price, suggested at US$3299 sans lens, which set a significant new low price point for full-frame DSLRs; its only full-frame competition at the time was the Canon 1Ds Mark II, which cost more than twice as much.
On 17 September 2008, Canon announced the camera's successor, the Canon EOS 5D Mark II.

Sensor and image processing
The 5D has a DIGIC II 35.8 x 23.9 mm full-frame CMOS sensor with 13.3 million pixels (12.7 megapixel effective) and a pixel density of 1.5 megapixels per square centimetre. ISO speeds from 100 to 1600 are provided, adjustable in 1/3 steps (ISO can be expanded to L: 50 or H: 3200 with a menu function). The ISO 50 setting reduces dynamic range by a stop in the highlights.

Welcome to the big English review about the new Canon EOS 5D Mark IV. I compared this camera with its predecessor in this video. So it will be the Canon EOS 5D Mark IV vs. the Canon EOS 5D Mark III. The low light performance has improved a lot in the new version and the build quality is really good. It features now 4K video with up to 30fps and full hd video with up to 60fps. If you need more go for HD, 720p, with a maximum rate of 120fps.
Really cool about the 5D MK IV is, that it features also WiFi now. So you can control the camera from your phone and transfer the photos direct to your smartphone to send them.
