All it takes is 7 Weeks!
7 Weeks is the easiest way to develop a new habit or goal or break a bad habit. Based on Charles Duhigg's bestselling book, "The Power of Habit" and the X effect method of completing goals, 7 Weeks combines the two and creates an ultra simple strategy of completing one day of your habit/goal at a time.
Every day that you complete successfully, simply mark the day as complete! Each day you complete gets you one step closer to not just making or breaking a new habit or completing a goal, but it increases your motivation, willpower and discipline.
Scientists believe the sweet spot for developing a habit is right around 7 weeks, so once you have completed 49 days straight with little failure, you can be sure you'll have developed a positive habit, broken a bad habit or completed a goal.
With custom alarms, a beautiful material design interface, flexible weekly goals and multiple customization options for each habit, 7 Weeks is the best app to get you on track to making your habits and goals.
7 Weeks+ brings even more power to you!
For only the price of one cup of coffee, you get:
- Two fully functional home screen widgets
- A gorgeous material design interface with 15 stunning color themes and a light theme
- Multiple new customization options for each habit/goal
- Customizable notes for each day of your habits and goals
- Unlimited custom alarms for each habit with your own message
- Quick access to checking off habits from the main list
- Habits/Goals on certain days of the week or a certain number of times a week
- The ability to go longer than 49 days and shorter if desired
and much, much more!
And if you simply share the app on Facebook or Google+, you can get 50% off the upgrade!
I also love hearing from my users! Send me an email at ryan@7weeksapp.com and I'll guarantee a response to any email you send me :)
So what are you waiting for?
Can you make it 7 Weeks?

Useful for establishing good habits Simple, clear, easy. I like it so much I have just paid the very small one-time fee to upgrade to premium. SUGGESTION: As some activities, such as certain physical exercises, are best performed every second or third day, it would be great if such legitimate "off days" could be recorded via a third option, I.e. not as either o or x, but as, say, an o with an x inside. These "off days" should not interrupt Streaks.

The Best Best habit tracking app out there. The pro (plus) version is WELL worth it. UI is just generally better all round and the amount of added functionality is incredible. I use this app to keep track of my good and bad habits rather than trying to make a habit in 7 weeks. It's so helpful to easily see how often I'm drinking or meditating - I do weekly reviews in my journal and use this app to grade how well did during the week regarding self control and focus. Extremely powerful if used correctly. Kudos Dev

Minimalistic and Effecient The app does exactly what it advertises. The design is sleek and instructions clear. I only switched to another app for a more complicated objective tracker (such as working or the times a week and date night once a week) with optional skip days. That all is Rewire - which is just a tad but better at management. But this app tired me over for a while.

Best habit builder App ever. Every morning it gives you a little enouragment phrase to give you hope for the day. Then at night it reminds you to check off your day. The only thing I would change is when you hit complete. Instead of it being an X. Make it a fill in square or something. Other than that app still gets 5 stars. Well thought out.

I love the app. Really keeps me motivated, especially on those days you see you missed - keeps you going. But I have an issue with the widget. The arrow buttons dont seem to work, and why am I limited to only 2x2 size, or a 2x3 size? Its really bugging me. Could you fix this? thanks

A feeling of accomplishment That's what this little app gives you. It is so satisfying to mark off the x of another completed day. It really does help you keep on track. The only thing that I would change is when you complete the 7 weeks. I had thought something would happen , even Solitaire congratulates you when you finish a game but with this nothing happened. Otherwise a great app.

Hey Robert! Thanks for the feedback. You'll notice quite an improvement here in the next update set to release soon. Try it out again and let us know what you think! Best habit builder App ever. I like it, having tried other apps such as Habit Bull, Fabulous Me, etc. The interface and workflow is much more focused, and doesn't overwhelm. But one thing that almost all habit trackers are missing is a web app to complement. I hope 7 Weeks can be among the first, since I've invested into it and bought the premium version.
This app has worked wonders for me! The only problem I can find is that I think the current day is a bit lagged behind because sometimes when I get up early the app still highlights the previous day. But it's not a big issue, and aside from that it's perfect! Highly recommended for anyone who wants to track their habits
Excellent! This is a wonderful app to help keep you on track of your goals and habits. Making or breaking it provides you with the tools and visual aids to keep you focused on the prize. Design wise it looks great, functionality, it is hard to find anything it is missing. And the developer is quick to respond to any issues or suggestions you put forth! Highly recommend this app!
This app is a waste of time What value is behind this? If I add all things in notes it's silly same... Even if I haven't trained for weeks Im getting the info that Im doing great. Really motivating. I would also never pay for the + Version as such simple functionality should be already in the normal version.

Hi Michal. Sorry you feel this way about the app! We're working very hard to bring tons of new features that takes the app from being quite basic to very packed with features. A new update coming very soon will definitely change what you think of the app! Great concept But I also think if that thing is front of you everyday.. you feel like doing it.. like if you look it in a positive way (Doing pushups) this is the best.. but if your target is not smoking or not doing anything this isn't adviced.. Maybe the developers take this is an innovative way and think for a solution? :)
Great, but... I ordered the premium and i think for the price of .99 cents, its WAY more valuable and efficient than the other, costly apps. One thing i would request, is the ability to categorize the habits in tags like 'school', 'health'. I am also eagerly waiting for the sync/import/export functionality. Otherwise, im glad i invested in this worthwhile product.
Counter-intuitive It makes no sense to me to have successful days marked by a RED X! I don't know about you, but in my school days that clearly signified a fail. Uninstalled.
Good concept However the app is the app that crashes most on my phone causing my phone to try to uninstall it. If this could be fixed... reply to dev: i sent an error report after this most recent crash thanks for the reply. Hope this gets fixed soon

Updating my reply, thanks for reporting! I saw the report and I'll be looking into a fix that will be out in the next version. Stay tuned! Small bug I have yet to start really using this app but the concept seems good. I have set a habit start date to be one week from now, yet I'm getting these daily notifications like "you can do it!". While I appreciate the motivational spirit, save it for after the habit start date.
7 Weeks April 27, 2016
Hey Roxanne, sorry about this! It'll be fixed in the next version! For now just dismiss them or go to settings and turn off notifications and that should do the trick. Doesn't remind me to track Therefore making the whole thing pointless. If I were able to develop new habits without reminders, I wouldn't need this app, now would I? Downloading habit bull
7 Weeks December 21, 2015
Hey there! Sorry you feel this way, but you can set reminders in the app. In the free version there are two free daily reminders and in the plus version you can set unlimited. Upgraded Upgraded to 7weeks + and it didn't download, doesn't show up in my apps list and asks me to purchase it, even though I already have, when entering 7weeks, but lo and behold... I HAVE been charge for the purchase. Well how about that. Rip off

Hey Ruby, could you email me personally at ryan@7weeksapp.com and I'll get this fixed for you! Nicely done! I really like the app and the widget to it, was worth buying. Just a minor annoyance is that it still reminds me to check off even if I did that already, so I'm getting pointless notifications. Everything else is done really good.
7 Weeks December 28, 2015
Thanks Jens! A feature is coming very soon allowing these notifications to not be shown. Stay tuned! Noughts and crosses When one achieves a task it assigns an 'X' to the day and a 'O' for missing it. Can this be changed? Lots of crosses look like lots of 'wrongs' and therefore lots of misses. The circles end up looking positive. Why can't I choose my icon? Or just have a green circle for achieved and a red for missed?
7 Weeks March 7, 2016
Yes it can but only in the 7 Weeks+ version right now. Yuu need to go to settings to change this but it will be coming to all versions in the next update! Absolutely love it This app really helps me keep on track. It's not annoying, yet it reminds me about my habits at good times. I love to check off days and it's good to see the progress for each habit. It's a cute little app!
Good! Really good app. Needs tracking for # of times per day, the red X for complete is kind of confusing, maybe a better graphic for connecting the 7 week chain and a passcode lock but for a buck or two this is my mainstay habit building app! The widgets are great!
7 Weeks January 24, 2016
Hey George! It's coming soon to be able to change the type of box icon! Stay tuned for that. Never knew I needed an app to break bad habits and create good ones but I'll be giving this a shot. Really great, uncluttered look. My only request is a way to sync the status to my tablet.
Good Just started using it.. Want to tell developers that date format screen is quite hard for non technical person, instead of dd/mm/yyyy you can show example date I.e. 12/12/2011
Not a lot of options for time settings Some of my habits are every 2 weeks or every month. This app won't let me set it to anything more than a week . So that's disappointing. The widgets can be more minimal than it is. Right now it seems like the only thing that this app is better than Rewire is the price, since Rewire seem to have more flexibility when creating habits. A lot to be improved on. But the basics are there. I would have hold off on upgrading if I knew the timer settings were this limited even with the upgrade.
7 Weeks May 22, 2016
Many more improvements are coming to this! Stay tuned. Great app and fast customer service I had a problem getting the app to update when I bought pro. The customer service team responded to me within 2 hours of me posting my problem and helped me fix it within half a day. I'm now enjoying the app the fullest extent. Thanks so much! (Previous comment) Hey. I bought the upgrade a couple of days ago so I could access to widgets, but this isn't reflected in the app. You keep asking me to upgrade again. Why is this happening? And can you please fix this?
7 Weeks April 27, 2016
Hey Allyson! I'm very sorry about that. It's a small bug that is easily fixed. Email me at ryan@7weeksapp.com and I'll give you the instructions on how to fix it! Initial hiccup but great response from developer So i paid for the upgrade and it looks exactly the same. What am I missing? I haven't found the option to get the upgrade here. Update: Ryan was very quick to address my concerns. User error most likely. So all in all the upgrade seems to be working well.
7 Weeks January 27, 2016
Hey Jiddu. Thanks for updating your review :) Great motivator This really motivates you to achieve your goals. One of my goals was to run and exercise as much as I could and I hated missing a day. Very effective and I love the material design and customisability. Great job!
Back to 5/5 Okay, so I'm not sure what happened and I didn't hear back after emailing about the issue but it has since been resolved. I do hope it doesn't happen again but either way, I like this app and recommend it
7 Weeks March 27, 2016
Sorry Rhys, we'll be getting to all emails soon as we've been out of the country for a week. Great to hear it works now though! Purchased 7+ but the app is not recognized Short story: I paid for an app that is impossible to access. Long story: I decided to purchase 7+ in order to have a better, cleaner interface. The company took the money. However, 7+ only randomly appears. There is no icon for 7+, so you must open the free 7 app first. If you wait enough time, the app will SOMETIMES transition to 7+ however, it doesn't always do this. Therefore, I spent money for an app that I cannot access or use. Do not waste your money buying the paid version of the app.
Great app After using the app for over a month now, I finally bought it. Minor request, can you blur the status bar for people like me running kitkat?
Good concept but won't open. I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini and it won't open this app. I've had trouble with other apps; I know the Minis are difficult for developers to keep updated. Maybe I'll try again with my next phone.

Hey Emily. I'm very sorry about this. I'd like to get to the bottom of this though as I'm wrapping up a new update right now and I want to make sure this is fixed. Could you email bugs@7weeksapp.com and I'll get back to you with some question. Please fix Like the app, keep up the good work, but there are one annoying bug in the premium version, sometimes it switches back to the standard version, lucky, I don't have to pay again. The app is good, so fix this coz it's annoying.
7 Weeks March 6, 2016
It will be fixed soon Jakson. Stay tuned! Good app It's a good app, but widgets should have a free option. It's stupid to offer widgets that says "only in pro version". I would rather to not have them at all.
Excellent App for Effective Habits Establishment! I really love the flexibility of this app in setting reminders and days of the week or amount of days. The interface is simple and nice to look at. I've found it invaluable in keeping me on track and helping to break some depressive streaks. Definitely worth the minimal price to upgrade!
Motivating, Organized, Makes It Easier Just creating the goals makes it feel realistic to achieve them! And there are so many great features in the upgrade that make the experience more personal and motivating. The clean, organized design makes it easy and exciting to set goals. Also: RARE- a 1-time purchase for premium is almost unheard of with a service like this and I appreciate it so much! Very worth it.
It's a good idea and works okay, but the execution is suffering a lack of refinement. It takes a lot of taps to check things off your list and begins feeling incredibly tedious very quickly. Here's the process: 1. See a list of the habits you have. Instead of being able to tap on a habit to say that you have done it, tapping drills into a calendar view for that habit. Suggestion: allow users to use this list to check off the activity. 2. Tap on the current day. This brings up a menu allowing you to select three options: Completed, Missed, or Clear. You must select one of these. Suggestion: tap on the day changes day state from Missed to Completed. If the user doesn't interact with it, assume that it has been missed. 3. Select Completed, Missed, or Clear. Suggestion: eliminate this step. 4. Tap the back button to go back to the list and begin again. This would be eliminated if you allowed the user to check items off their list in the first step. It's not a big deal if you have a couple of items in your list. But if you get up to six or seven, instead of six or seven taps for a successful day you are up to 24 - 28 taps to run through that list.

Hi John! We are aware of this and have actually update the interface greatly to make it much faster and easier to use which will be coming out soon! Stay tuned for that. Good app It is a good app but the devoloper has not updated the app for a long time ... I started using it from the beginning of 2016 and i updated to pro but by time and by updating the andriod system and by adding more weeks , the app starts to lag... however I start using another app
Hey there! I paid for the full version and even still I have this generic "did you complete your goals today?" reminder. I don't want this notification. I could turn off all notifications for the app but that kills the goal specific reminders. I also can't check the current day from the main screen even though I paid for full. Re: "You could just dismiss it." I don't want noisy notifications that don't add to my utility. This is a notification I don't ever want to interrupt me. Re: "You mean the widgets?" No, I mean when I open the app, the landing Activity that hosts the list of habits I'm tracking. In the upgrade path, it shows that you can mark the habit as completed for the day from the landing Activity. I'm unable to do that, though, even after upgrading.
7 Weeks December 30, 2015
Hey Jason, updating my response. You can click the arrow on the right side and a dropdown will appear that will show all of your days and their status. In the next two to three days, there will be a new update that will make this much more obvious, so stay tuned for that! (1) doesn't track streaks or records, does not say like 5/10 (streak 5 / record 10) so I can see my current streak over my record high score. As of now I would have to count manually how many days in a row I did the habit (2) confusing UI (2) what about daily tasks? Weekly goals? Monthly goals? Twice a week? Twice a day?
7 Weeks March 3, 2016
Hey Hoshi. 1. Streaks are tracked but record streaks are not yet. We will work on adding this! 2. Could you give us any information on how the UI is confusing? We're always wanting to fix it! 3. Daily tasks are the default way of using the app but in the pro version you can set weekly and other custom goals on certain days. Pay version a bit light on features? This is a pretty simple app based on a compelling idea. I've been using it for a couple weeks, and it does what it's supposed to.... The pay version was a bit disappointing. I'd like more options on the widgets, and really it seems that the option for doing something x times a week doesn't do anything that isn't already being done in the free version... Maybe I'm missing something?
