Tokyo (東京, Tōkyō, "Eastern Capital") (Japanese: [toːkjoː], English /ˈtoʊki.oʊ/), officially Tokyo Metropolis (東京都, Tōkyō-to), is one of the 47 prefectures of Japan, and is both the capital and largest city of Japan. The Greater Tokyo Area is the most populous metropolitan area in the world. It is the seat of the Emperor of Japan and the Japanese government. Tokyo is in the Kantō region on the southeastern side of the main island Honshu and includes the Izu Islands and Ogasawara Islands. Formerly known as Edo, it has been the de facto seat of government since 1603 when Shogun Tokugawa Ieyasu made the city his headquarters. It officially became the capital after Emperor Meiji moved his seat to the city from the old capital of Kyoto in 1868; at that time Edo was renamed Tokyo. Tokyo Metropolis was formed in 1943 from the merger of the former Tokyo Prefecture (東京府, Tōkyō-fu) and the city of Tokyo (東京市, Tōkyō-shi).
Mystic Motel is a homemade dark ride based on an abandoned motel, found in Southern California, USA. It was built by game designer Scott D'Avanzo and his family in their garage and courtyard, and is notable for the media attention it received between 2013 and 2015.
Construction of the dark ride began in August 2013 with no plan to open it for Halloween the same year. The first version of the ride had no walkthrough component but after a second Kickstarter campaign, the walkthrough motel was added.
A Kickstarter campaign was launched in 2013 aiming for $1000. It was successfully funded, with $1,355 by October 31, 2013. A second campaign was launched on October 7, 2014 for another $1000. It was also successfully funded by October 17, 2014. Most recently, a third campaign in 2015 also raised a further $1000.
The ride uses the following text as its backstory:
Mystic Motel was a motel built in 1955 located in the sun bathed and cactus infested desert along US Route 66. A hot spot through the 1970s, the motel was eventually abandoned and forgotten until Jack Turner (fictional character) purchased it for its mysterious activities. Jack knew he could make a buck off folks daring enough to take a ride through its mysterious basement. With parts of the motel actually caving through the basement ceiling, some of the motel's visitors have never left. Jack kept one of the original maintenance workers (Charlie) on staff to scare off any vandals. Only riders of Mystic Motel will figure out why Charlie has gone so crazy!

The sound of the EP is rooted on the electropop music genre. A digital remix version of the EP, featuring three remixes for the songs "Hurricane", "Ghost" and "Trouble" was released on March 3, 2015. Along with the remix EP, a "One Mic, One Take" EP was released on the same date.
Tower of Terror may refer to:
Tales of Terror (1962) is an American International Pictures horror film starring Vincent Price, Peter Lorre, and Basil Rathbone; it is the fourth in the so-called Corman-Poe cycle of eight films largely featuring adaptations of Edgar Allan Poe stories directed by Roger Corman and released by AIP. The film was released as a double feature with Panic in Year Zero!.
The film uses an anthology format, presenting three short sequences based on the following Poe tales: "Morella", "The Black Cat" (which is combined with another Poe tale, "The Cask of Amontillado"), and "The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar". Each sequence is introduced via voiceover narration by Vincent Price, who also appears in all three narratives. The story Morella was remade in the 1990s as The Haunting of Morella.
When Lenora Locke (Maggie Pierce) travels from Boston to be reunited with her father (Vincent Price) in his decrepit and cobwebbed mansion, she finds him drunk, disordered, and depressed. He refuses her company, insisting that she killed her mother Morella (Leona Gage) in childbirth. Lenora then discovers her mother's body decomposing on a bed in the house. Lenora cannot return to Boston and remains in the house to care for her father. His feelings soften towards her when he learns she has a terminal illness. One night Morella's spirit rises, and kills Lenora in revenge for her childbed death. Morella's body is then resurrected, becoming as whole and as beautiful as she was in life. This is in exchange for Lenora's, which is now decomposing where Morella lay. Morella strangles her horrified husband as a fire breaks out in the house. Then Morella and Lenora return to their original bodies, Lenora smiling as she lies on her dead father, rotten Morella cackling as the flames consume the house. The cast includes Edmund Cobb as a coach driver.

Mystic Motel is a "Back yard" haunted house, so-to-speak in that it doesn't appear in an "amusement park", but instead, the ride was created in a 2-car garage in Ladera Ranch, CA by Scott D'Avanzo and his family. Yes, we realize it's "short", but the fact that it's made in a 20x20 2 car garage and the ride vehicle is powered by a mobility scooter motor is REALLY COOL! They Kickstarted the project and it was funded! Here is more information: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1335519475/mystic-motel-dark-ride On a side note - Scott comes from the video games/gaming industry, which is funny as that is my original background too. Strange how I know so many people into games that have crossed over into the theme park world! Filmed by David Wagner. Thanks for capturing this!

This video was submitted to us by the hotel security manager who was standing watch on September 14, 2003 at a WINGATE HOTEL in Illinois. His voice can be heard in the background of the recording. According to him, people staying at the hotel began calling in noise complaints to the front desk with reports of loud screaming coming from the 2nd floor--particularly room #209. There is no known history to the room according to our investigation. However, upon further review, we found that over the years, multiple complaints of "strange noises" were reported to be coming from the room. This is the only known recording of it.
Preshow and Full Ride. Plunge down the dark freight elevator shaft of the once glamorous Hollywood Tower Hotel in The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney's Hollywood Studios theme park. Ah, but this is no ordinary hotel. Its phantom elevator is located beyond the fifth dimension, the one that crosses over into The Twilight Zone. The Legend: Classic stars of the silver screen sought rest and relaxation at the grand Hollywood Tower Hotel during the Golden Age of Hollywood. In 1939, during a gloomy Halloween night, 5 unlucky souls were riding down the Hotel's maintenance service elevator when a violent storm struck the building... and they were never seen again. Black scorch marks still scar The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror facade where lightning left its autograph. The Elevator: A ri...
