Dear broadcasting partners in Asia:
DW (Deutsch) is changing satellites in Asia.
Deutsche Welle's German-language channel, DW (Deutsch), is migrating from AsiaSat-7 to AsiaSat-5. The migration started in September 2016 and will come to an end on November 30, 2016. To continue receiving DW's German-language channel, please adjust your equipment as soon as possible to the new satellite and the new specs.
If you have been receiving DW (Deutsch) on AsiaSat-7, you will need to turn your satellite dish a few degrees to the orbital position of AsiaSat-5. If your satellite dish has a dual feed horn (LNB), you may be able to receive both satellites without turning your dish.
Please be advised that, after the satellite migration is finished on November 30, 2016, you will probably need a new receiver, able to decode mpeg-4 in order to continue receiving DW (Deutsch). Please take a look at the new satellite footprint [hier Download link oder ähnlich einfügen] for more reception details. You can also contact DW's local distribution agent in your country or drop a line to info@dw.com [diese mailto: Mailadresse anklickbar machen] if you need assistance or more information about DW (Deutsch).
Please keep in mind: DW (Deutsch) will cease transmission on AsiaSat-7 on November 30, 2016. If you haven't configured your reception hardware to the new AsiaSat 5 specs by then, your receiver won't be able to pick up the DW (Deutsch) signal anymore.
