black
sand's second album carries on in the same vein as the the first, mixing
up sci-fi lullabies, keyboard led drones, sixties sitar and kraut
rhythms to create a psychedelic lo-fi trip into outer space.

The End
As you've probably noticed, the gaps between my posts have been getting longer. I've been running this blog since 2008 and the majority of the music here is from my own collection. I have just about run out of music to post so I think this is a good time to finish. I always said to myself once I start posting Embrace that will be the end!
It's a wonder I've survived to be honest with so many other blogs being taken down so thank you to everyone who has visited over the last 6 years. Thanks to all the other bloggers for the inspiration and an even bigger thank you to the artists.
See you in the next one.

New Music - Nova Drones
Nova Drones – A
Kiss Of Bliss EP
Nova Drones is the solo project of Michael Grellman.
Grellman began recording as Nova Drones in 2010 while living in dreary Eugene, Oregon.
His first EP was recorded in his home studio, the Hobo Lounge (named for its
hobo spider residents). Since then, Grellman has moved to Los Angeles where the majority of A Kiss of
Bliss was recorded.
A Kiss of Bliss is a departure from the acoustic, bedroom sounds of the S/T EP. Grellman has moved toward a loud, glossy shoegaze drone inspired by Creation Records’ early 90’s catalog. The dreamy, hypnotic swells that drift throughout A Kiss Of Bliss also call to mind shoegaze forefathers such as Loop and Spacemen 3.
Nova Drones’ latest is composed of four tracks written, recorded, and performed almost entirely by Grellman. The EP is an authentic vision of his past three years presented with plenty of distortion and soaked through a Yamaha SPX90, the reverb unit used in My Bloody Valentine’s Loveless sessions. Confessional and haunting, these four songs evoke a sonic portrait of Grellman and his struggles through some of the darker moments of his passing years.
