Lifelike & Kris Menace – Ecstasy
Kris Menace is known for his melodic disco tinged good time house tracks. Ecstasy marks a bit of a radical departure, since his forthcoming collaboration with Lifelike is acid techno. Very much harking back to the halcyon early days of German techno, this is a great use of acid and 303s.
What adds a bit of extra frisson is how confused and annoyed some of his fans/listeners have got with this direction change. Worth skimming through the soundcloud comments. They include: “Weird and my grandma can do better😂”; “Wasn’t april fools like 20 days ago?”; “this is absolute shit”. And my personal favourite “it honestly sounds like wet fart worst spinnin track probably ever”. Marvellous.
