Thursday’s trio of Dyn, P.U.S.S.H and Rudo are connected by a deep house sense of the world.

First, Germany’s Dyn with Eschi. Probably the most ambitious of the three tracks, this plays around on the deep house and techno border. It’s an experimental sort of track full of awkward clicks and whirrs. It eventually lets you in a little with a gentle reverbed synth hook.

Next up, P.U.S.H. with a track from their pushasone EP. The other tracks didn’t grab me with their mix of dance and grime. But this one – EyeCan – is subtly experimental bringing together some slightly dubbed vocals, a little techno and a house presence that builds and builds. Despite the experimental nature of EyeCan this is infinitely danceable.

Finally, Rudo. The weather is definitely taking a turn for the chilly but this is definitely summery. As Rudo reminded me “It’s nearly summer in some parts of the world.” He’s so right. Rudo is Ruairi Dorrity, who describe himself as an Englishman in San Francisco. The track is a bit Saint Etienne if they’d carried on making house tracks. The vocals are all very Sarah Cracknell and the sound is simultaneously arch and welcoming. A richness of deep house into which you want to dive.
