Jaaz Multimedia is a Bangladeshi entertainment company established by Shish Manwar . It is the inaugurator of Digital Film Projection in Bangladesh and it is one of the biggest integrated production house in Bangladesh.

Initial years

Jaaz Multimedia was established in 2011 by Shish Manwar. It has produced a number of films including Bhalobasar Rong, Onnorokom Bhalobasha, Pora Mon, Bhalobasa Aaj Kal, and Agnee.

Romeo vs Juliet is an Indo-Bangladeshi Joint Venture romantic comedy film, produced jointly by Eskay Movies and Jaaz Multimedia. The film is directed by Ashok Pati and features a cast which includes Ankush Hazra and Mahiya Mahi. The film is set to be released on 16 January 2015. The film is an official remake of the 2013 Punjabi movie Singh vs Kaur.

Arifin Shuvoo (Bengali: আরিফিন শুভ; pronunciation : [ariˈfiːn ˈshuːvo]; born Arefin Shuvo; 2 February 1982), is a Bangladeshi film actor and television personality. Through his successful career in Dhallywood films, he has become one of the most popular actor in Bangladesh. He is a recipient of several awards and nominations, including two Meril Prothom Alo Awards.

Shuvo made his debut in 2007, appearing in television series Ha/Na before appearing in his first film Jaago - Dare To Dream (2010). He made a debut into mainstream cinema with Purno Doirgho Prem Kahini (2013). His role was appreciated by both audiences and critics. For his negative role in the film, He received nomination in Best Villain category at Meril Prothom Alo Awards. He later went on to star in Bhalobasha Zindabad (2013). A starring role in the romantic action film Agnee (2014), established him as the leading Dhallywood actor. His latest film, Kistimaat (2014) became one of the highest grossing films of 2014.

The cinema of West Bengal (Bengali: টলিউড) refers to the Indian Bengali language film industry based in the Tollygunge region of Kolkata, West Bengal, India. The origins of the nickname Tollywood, a portmanteau of the words Tollygunge and Hollywood, dates back to 1932. Although the industry's Gross Box-office is smaller, when compared to large market driven industries of the country such as bollywood, Telugu cinema, and Tamil cinema, the Bengali film industry is known for producing many of Indian cinema's most critically acclaimed global Parallel Cinema and art films, with several of its filmmakers gaining international acclaim, and prominence at the Indian National Film Awards. Modern Bengali cinema is known for re-inventing the cinematic norms from the poetically theoretical to the in-your-face physical and romantic fantasies, that which is evident in the western world.

Ever since Satyajit Ray's Pather Panchali (1955) was awarded Best Human Document at the 1956 Cannes Film Festival, Bengali films frequently appeared in international fora and film festivals for the next several decades. This allowed Bengali filmmakers to reach a global audience. The most influential among them was Satyajit Ray, whose films became successful among European, American and Asian audiences.
