Maawan (Mothers) Artist IFFI-K Produced Pegasus Productions Supported Vic Sethi (www.vicsethi.com) This is a wonderful song and is a Tribute to all the mothers... IFFI-K met up with Vic Sethi a couple of years ago at a charity event. After a few days IFFI-K called Vic and said he was looking at a supporter for a music video he wanted to produce for the people of Pakistan called "Allah Reham Kar De" (God please let peace be upon us}. IFFI-K said that the wordings of the song were written by a legend Sikh music writer called Dev Raj Jassal. This was the last song written by him before he passed away. On hearing the words of the song, Vic said "I shall support you, go ahead and produce this video" IFFI-K decided to give all the money made from this video to the Pakistan Flood Appeal. Vic asked IFFI-K that in return of this support one day in life he wanted IFFI-K to produce a music video which would be linked with no faith, color or country but a song for people of all faiths and humanity. IFFI-K called Vic and said how about doing a music video on Mothers and Vic immediately loved the idea and they met over dinner discussing the wordings and the video storyboard. They talked about how their mothers had brought them up in life and how they were loved. Vic's main motto behind supporting this music video was to make people realise the importance of a mother or a woman. If we all respect our mothers then lets not forget that before a woman becomes a mother, she was born as a girl. Then lets not kill girls. Even today many people kill girls at birth or before they are even born. Only The Almighty has the right to give or take life. Even Kings and Queens are born from a mother. Prophets, Guru's, Saints, Preachers and all spiritual leaders have played in their mothers laps. Woman sometimes play a more important role than a man in life. They are the ones who never have a holiday in life at all. As their responsibility starts in the morning and ends until everyone is in bed. Vic was born in New Delhi/India, migrated to Kuwait at a very young age where he lived most of his life. His parents always said that the children will learn their culture at home and will learn to read and write arabic in school. But what is missing is the Christianity, so the children went through a Convent school. This made the children to respect all faiths and also live in a multicultural environment. Vic migrated to the UK in 1991 during the time Kuwait got invaded by Iraq on the 2nd of August 1990. Vic always says that he will always be loyal to all the three countries which he has lived in India, Kuwait and UK. He always says "we should respect and abide by the laws of the country we reside in, as it gives us our living. We should be loyal and faithful to the Royal family for granting us equal rights as the local British people. We can only learn to appreciate these factors and freedom, when we have lived in other countries where we are treated and looked upon differently. Many people try to go back to their countries of origin but usually come back to Britain and thats the time they appreciate what they have got here,. which also includes the NHS system which is just great and we should be proud of it..."
