Iguana (/ɪˈɡwɑːnə/,Spanish: [iˈɣwana]) is a genus of herbivorous lizards native to tropical areas of Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean. The genus was first described in 1768 by Austrian naturalist Josephus Nicolaus Laurenti in his book Specimen Medicum, Exhibens Synopsin Reptilium Emendatam cum Experimentis circa Venena. Two species are included in the genus Iguana: the green iguana, which is widespread throughout its range and a popular pet, and the Lesser Antillean iguana, which is native to the Lesser Antilles and endangered due to habitat destruction.
The word "iguana" is derived from the original Taino name for the species, iwana.
In addition to the two species in the genus Iguana, several other related genera in the same family have common names of the species including the word "iguana".
Iguanas can range from 5 to 6 feet (1.5 to 1.8 m) including their tail. The two species of lizard within the genus Iguana possess a dewlap, a row of spines running down their backs to their tails, and a tiny "third eye" on their heads. This light-sensing organ is known as the parietal eye, visible as a pale scale on the top of the head, and cannot make out details, just brightness. Behind their necks are small scales which resemble spokes, known as tuberculate scales. These scales may be a variety of colors and are not always visible from close distances. They have a large round scale on their cheeks known as a subtympanic shield.
Planet Earth may refer to Earth, the third planet from the sun.
Planet Earth may also refer to:
Earth /ˈɜːrθ/ (also the world, in Greek: Γαῖα Gaia, or in Latin: Terra) is the third planet from the Sun, the densest planet in the Solar System, the largest of the Solar System's four terrestrial planets, and the only astronomical object known to harbor life.
According to evidence from radiometric dating and other sources, Earth was formed about 4.54 billion years ago. Earth gravitationally interacts with other objects in space, especially the Sun and the Moon. During one orbit around the Sun, Earth rotates about its own axis 366.26 times, creating 365.26 solar days or one sidereal year. Earth's axis of rotation is tilted 23.4° away from the perpendicular of its orbital plane, producing seasonal variations on the planet's surface with a period of one tropical year (365.24 solar days). The Moon is Earth's only permanent natural satellite. Its gravitational interaction with Earth causes ocean tides, stabilizes the orientation of Earth's rotational axis, and gradually slows Earth's rotational rate.

Plot: Newhall, California sits about thirty miles north of Los Angeles, not quite the middle of nowhere, but not exactly a real city either. It's somewhere in between. A place where the youth work at Video Depot, go to community college, struggle with jocks and townies, and all do their best to understand politics, their careers, their love life and self-image. It's here that Jordan, Molly, Tammy, and Lloyd are about to understand that in life you don't always get what you want. Sometimes you're stuck never leaving home, never fitting in, or never really knowing who your friends are. This is their transition toward growing up and realizing that real life doesn't always end up like a movie.

Plot: Genetic modification means Black Mask has superhuman fighting and healing powers. He is searching the world for top geneticists who might be able to reverse his mutation, which has stolen his ability to feel emotion. His maker, whom he's running from has an amateur rival in this sequel though. Someone is hybridizing the DNA of top pro-wrestlers with that of animals, making them stronger and deadlier. But the process is turning the wrestlers (Iguana, Chameleon (Traci Lords), Snake, Wolf, and Claw) slowly more into animal killers, than human-beings. Black Mask tries to help the wrestlers but their boss has plans for BM himself.

Plot: Steve and Megan, unbeknownst to them, are being guided and "advised" by one of Cupid's caseworkers who has been struggling to get Steve and Megan together for many lifetimes. Cupid might actually have a chance this lifetime if it weren't for John, Megan's old boyfriend who is determined to get her back. Add to this the conflicting advice of Steve's roommate, Nigel and Steve's temptation for Cheryl, a sensual coed, and it begins to look like this is one more lifetime Steve and Megan won't spend together...

Male Green Iguana 5-6 years old (The General or Mr. Bigs as he is known as) decides that he is the Alpha Male. Here are my unprofessional observations and techniques to dealing with biting and aggression. Showing classic signs of aggression that lead to biting. 1. Puffing up/getting big (more specifically angling his body so you can always see his sides) 2. Head tracking. (Iguana's head closely follows owner's hands or body. Usually fast head movements) 3.Tail shaking (a preemptive wriggle of the tail before whipping) 4. Charging 5. Squaring up. (Iguana always keeps the owner in sight) 6. Evil eyes. ( A good owner can tell if his Igg's eyes are looking mean) Tips for dealing with biting (these tips are not fool proof, but have helped me raise a calm iguana) 1.Let them ge...
