How long will the mask deniers deny the evident reality that schools are hotbeds of disease and masks reduce disease transmission?

Infections cut in half in Boston schools that kept mask mandates compared to schools that did not. Even though the schools that kept masks were higher risk than the comparison group. Lifting mask mandantes led to 28,690 additional missed school days. medrxiv.org/content/10.110

Every human is a vector of disease , even children. Masks protect them, their families, other students and teachers. Opposing such a simple and widely-supported public health measure is idiotic. It's also political suicide, so I guess we should be grateful. #auspol

My media statement on ‘requesting’ students to wear masks in schools Children are not vectors of disease. They are children. We are meant to be protecting them not burdening them will mask mandates to make adults feel safe I cannot oppose this ‘recommendation’ more strenuously

How did journalists inside the political bubble and associating closely with Scott Morrison not recognise that his religious faith was a major and disturbing influence on is prime ministership and write about it.

There is so much more to this escapade than just Scott Morrison repulsing Australians again. You have to understand him to really see what this is about. What you're seeing here is 2 things. 1 - it's the real Scott Morrison. This is how he fancies himself, the messianic leader twitter.com/SquizzSTK/stat…

Seems like we had a very similar thought. you also bear responsibility for appointing our science & data denying CHO & following through with his mass reinfection experiment. You’re all culpable for the excess deaths & disabilities this year. #COVID19

The Covid modeling did predict this. The CHO was just leading based on a fairy tale of ‘herd immunity’. After Sweden showed it was absolutely impossible to achieve he still stated multiple times his plan was to infect us all with a deadly & disabling virus. They’re all culpable.

Hey , how about listening to the people who suffer under this appalling system rather than the parasites who profit from them. 👇

@Tony_Burke you must stop torturing the unemployed! Time to scrap the whole mutual obligations BS. As it’s victim for 3 years I know it doesn’t work & the damage it causes to mental health. I was nearly suicidal many times. Dump the job provider scheme too as it’s a scam.

Italy reduced emissions from home heating more in the last *8 months* than in the previous *20 years*. How? The government pays the full cost of a heat pump install, plus a 10% bonus to the user. This is what serious electrification policy looks like.

Hey ... You've posted 4 tweets in 4 days about Abe's tragic killing....but nothing about the 287 Aussies that died in the last 7 days from Covid! Did you even know that many died. Did you know that more than 90 of them were in aged care? #COVID19

You need to resign as health minister if you think you’re fully protected from omicron with 4 doses. Experts are repeatedly telling you that vaccines alone are not enough. By refusing to mandate masks you’re making it impossible for us to keep ourselves safe.

You have to hand it to George Brandis, a provincial lawyer best suited to defending the town drunk in a small Qld town, but who sees himself as a latter day Brandeis or Wendell Holmes -- he is inevitably, and inevitably completely, wrong on every take he ever offers

I would request Director to make an editorial decision on this. It’s deliberate & blatantly in ya’ face. Not acceptable on public broadcaster imo.

Acts of civil disobedience to highlight catastrophic climate change and species extinction are growing. Extreme weather events .. one in 100 year floods, now three in 18 months. The public can see that current laws allow the destruction of our biosphere. This must change.

12 years of cruel Tory rule inflicting pain for the many to feather the beds of the few. Johnson should resign now but real change can only come when the Tories are swept away and replaced with a peoples Government to redistribute wealth and power.

I really have been relieved not to tweet or write anything about vaccines in months but, characteristically, ATAGI is making that extremely difficult. As someone who last had a jab 7 months ago, I would like to know why I am prohibited from having another as COVID runs rampant.
