Police searching for missing man and baby from south-east Queensland

Police are asking for public help to find a man and baby missing from south-east Queensland since Sunday.

The 39-year-old man and 11-month-old boy, who are known to each other, were last seen in Gympie by family and police are concerned because this behaviour is out of character.

Investigators believe the pair may be travelling to New South Wales and received information they were in Stanthorpe on Wednesday.

The man is described as Caucasian, about 170 centimetres tall, with a slim build and short hair.

The boy is described as Caucasian with blonde hair and blue eyes.

The pair are believed to be travelling in a black 2009 Ford XR6 with Queensland registration 818-VZR or New South Wales Registration BVL-27U.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
