The Amazon sale page for a Donald Trump Christmas tree ornament has been hilariously hijacked by commenters giving negative reviews of the decoration no one asked for.

The 'Trump Make America Great Again Red Cap Collectible Ornament' (so catchy!) is brass with 14 carat gold detailing and retails for $US149 ($201).

Donald Trump shares message of unity

President-elect Donald Trump said, "It is my prayer, that on this Thanksgiving, we begin to heal our divisions and move forward as one country."

After it was uploaded for sale on the Amazon website, the ornament has attracted an 84 per cent one-star rating, as well as a number of tongue-in-cheek reviews.

"It tried to put my nativity figures in an internment camp," wrote Amazon user Emily. "Would not buy again."

"This ornament grabbed my pussy. Would not recommend," wrote one user.

"No matter where I hang it, the tree leans waaaaaay over to the far right," wrote another.

Amazon user Tacitus Lector wrote an extended, narrativised review of the ornament joking that his office got a great ornament from Hawaii eight years ago, and bought the same four years ago, but something went awry this year.

"We all got together and chose a sedate, classy ornament from a shop in New York," he wrote. "My New York friends swore by their work and so we voted and chose it.

"But then this red and gold [piece of s---] showed up in the mail and we can't figure out why! We went through the vote hat again and we definitely voted for the New York piece with overwhelming numbers."

User Swell Gal Mary kept it short: "It called Mary a nasty woman, told Joseph to go back where he came from, built a wall around the manger, and then when you press it it sings 'I'm Dreaming Of A Totally White Christmas.'"

The ornament is no longer available to purchase new on Amazon, but can still be purchased through the Trump campaign website.
