In heraldry, an armiger is a person entitled to use a heraldic achievement (e.g., bear arms, an "armour-bearer") either by hereditary right, grant, matriculation, or assumption of arms. Such a person is said to be armigerous.
The Latin word armiger literally means "arms-bearer". In high and late medieval England, the word referred to an esquire attendant upon a knight, but bearing his own unique armorial device.
Armiger was also used as a Latin cognomen, and is now found as a rare surname in English-speaking countries.
Today, the term armiger is well-defined only within jurisdictions, such as Canada, Ireland, Spain and the United Kingdom, where heraldry is regulated by the state or a heraldic body, such as the College of Arms, the Court of the Lord Lyon or the Office of the Chief Herald of Ireland. A person can be so entitled either by proven (and typically agnatic) descent from a person with a right to bear a heraldic achievement, or by virtue of a grant of arms to himself. Merely sharing the same family name of an armiger is insufficient.
Final Fantasy (ファイナルファンタジー, Fainaru Fantajī) is a science fiction and fantasy media franchise created by Hironobu Sakaguchi, and developed and owned by Square Enix (formerly Square). The franchise centers on a series of fantasy and science fantasy role-playing video games (RPGs). The eponymous first game in the series, published in 1987, was conceived by Sakaguchi as his last-ditch effort in the game industry; the title was a success and spawned sequels. The video game series has since branched into other genres such as tactical role-playing, action role-playing, massively multiplayer online role-playing, racing, third-person shooter, fighting, rhythm and anime.
Although most Final Fantasy installments are stand-alone stories with different settings and main characters, they feature identical elements that define the franchise. Recurring elements include plot themes, character names, and game mechanics. Plots center on a group of heroes battling a great evil while exploring the characters' internal struggles and relationships. Character names are frequently derived from the history, languages, pop culture, and mythologies of cultures worldwide.
Final Fantasy XV (Japanese: ファイナルファンタジーXV, Hepburn: Fainaru Fantajī Fifutīn) is an upcoming action role-playing video game being developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and currently scheduled for a worldwide release in 2016. It is the fifteenth main installment in the Final Fantasy series, and forms part of the Fabula Nova Crystallis subseries, which also includes Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy Type-0. Originally a PlayStation 3-exclusive spin-off titled Final Fantasy Versus XIII, it is a major departure from previous games, providing a darker atmosphere that focuses on more realistic human characters than previous entries. The game features an open-world environment and action-based battle system similar to the Kingdom Hearts series and Type-0, incorporating the ability to switch weapons and other elements such as vehicle travel and camping.
The game takes place in a world similar to modern-day Earth, where all the world's countries bar the kingdom of Lucis are under the dominion of the empire of Niflheim. Noctis Lucis Caelum, heir to the Lucian throne—having gained magical power from a near-death experience—is driven from his home when Niflheim invades Lucis on the eve of peace negotiations between the two nations. Now on the run with his companions, Noctis begins to work towards defeating the forces of Niflheim and rescuing the crystal from their control.

Star of the Rogue is a giant shuriken armiger found in the Cleigne Region of Final Fantasy XV. Armigers are made from souls of Noctis’ ancestors, the previous kings of Lucis. There are 13 of these royal arms, which are scattered across the map, hidden in royal tombs. Only Noctis can use them, and they’re extremely powerful. On the downside, using them drains your HP constantly. Getting them all will unlock the Fateful Heir trophy. Another Final Fantasy XV story theory here pezzies and this is a big one. The question of why Luna would ever battle a summon and the mystery of Gentiana may have just had a bit of light shed on it! LUNA HAS AN ARMIGER WEAPON! The trident is one of Noctis’ ancestors weapons. We’ve seen it in trailers, we’ve seen it in artwork, now we see it floating around Noctis in a gameplay video! Cue dramatic music because this is huge! This means a lot! Now I don’t know what to think. Is Gentiana Shiva? Leviathan? Either of them!? Did they know they were holding a Lucis weapon the entire time? How will this all pan out in the end? WHAT DOES THIS ALL MEAN!!!... tinfoil hat… engaged!
