This backpacking trip took place on the first section of the Bartram Trail in Georgia. We hiked in on May 12, 2011 late afternoon. We hiked for about 3.5 miles and camped out near a little stream. The next day we hiked about 4.3 miles and camped by the Chattooga. On the 14th (3rd day), we hiked back to the campsite we stayed at on the first night. The last day (the 15th) we hiked back to the truck.

A three night backpacking trip on the Bartram Trail starting on NC State Route 106 at the Osage Mountain Overlook and going south on the Bartram Trail to Rabun Bald in Georgia, and then back to NC SR 106. The southern terminus of the Bartram Trail is on GA SR 28 at Russell Bridge in Rabun County, Georgia. The trail continues north for 37 miles in Georgia and then enters North Carolina and continues for 62 miles ending on Cheoah Bald.

Winter guard is an indoor color guard activity, derived from Military Ceremonies or Veterans Organizations Ceremonies Unlike traditional color guard, winter guard is performed indoors, usually in a gymnasium or an indoor arena. Performances make use of recorded music rather than a live band or orchestra.
Winter guard ensembles commonly perform at judged competitions officiated by local and regional associations using criteria developed by Winter Guard International.
A winter guard generally consists of performing members under the direction of an instructional staff. The staff of a winter guard team ("the guard") are drawn from many different specialties, which sometimes overlap: there are equipment instructors (sometimes one for the unit, sometimes broken out into the individual sections), dance instructors, and drill instructors. The equipment instructors create the choreography performed with equipment and teach it to the guard. The dance instructors create and teach the movement choreography in the show. The drill instructors focus on the position of the guard members relative to one another and to the boundaries of the performance area, in addition to where each member goes at which specific time during the performance. In some cases, all of these roles are fulfilled by one sole director.

The purpose of this video is to show the community and school what LC Color does and is made of. It also shows an inside peek of the members of color guard. The audience of this video is everyone, specifically Lake Central students. Strengths: good interviews and b-roll. Weaknesses: could have more variety of b-roll (different angles and close ups This video was not as detailed as the others. It was very simple. Interview with b-roll. Nothing yet drastically improved yet. I took away to get different shot angles. There will be different angles of shots so more can be added in so it is not redundant. My goals are to get different b-roll and improve on the little things that could make a difference. -

In 2015, legendary musician David Byrne treated audiences to a performance spectacle unlike any other - bringing ten of the best color guard teams from across North America to Brooklyn's Barclays Center to perform their synchronized dance routines (often involving flags, flips, tossed rifles and swords) to music composed for their performances by musicians like St. Vincent, Nelly Furtado, Ad-Rock + Money Mark, Nico Muhly + Ira Glass and Byrne himself, commissioned by BAM and Luminato Festival.
