A feature-length concept video detailing what my vision for a cross-platform Silmarillion film trilogy/tv series would be. No footage from the 'Lord Of The Rings' or 'Hobbit' films was used.
For those that aren't familiar with the book - Tolkien's "The Silmarillion" is an epic novel chronicling the ENTIRE HISTORY of Middle-Earth and its various peoples, heroes and villains. Illuvatar (a God figure) commands the Ainur to make a Great Music, setting in motion the creation of the Cosmos and culminating with Ea, or Middle-Earth. Certain of the Ainur are given dominion over certain forces - water, the wind, minerals, plants, animals, clouds, etc... but there is one among them - Melkor (Morgoth to some, in the existing films and latter tales) - who has been given the knowledge and power of the others, and becomes hot with anger and greed from Illuvatar creating his Children: Elves and Men, who dwell within the world.
Thus Melkor sets out on a quest for supremacy over Illuvatar's new offspring as well as their domain. The battles that ensue are increasingly violent and massive enough as to wreak tumult over the lands and sunder them. Nonetheless, heroes are awoken from all corners of the land and from all races, marshaling what strength they can to keep Melkor at bay time and time again.
Many characters there are, and many actions, with differences in scale and scope of what is rendered with the effects of these causes.
See for yourself, and always remember - however dark circumstances can be, Light always follows! Believe in this Light and it will never falter.

A feature-length concept video detailing what my vision for a cross-platform Silmarillion film trilogy/tv series would be. No footage from the 'Lord Of The Rings' or 'Hobbit' films was used. For those that aren't familiar with the book - Tolkien's "The Silmarillion" is an epic novel chronicling the ENTIRE HISTORY of Middle-Earth and its various peoples, heroes and villains. Illuvatar (a God figure) commands the Ainur to make a Great Music, setting in motion the creation of the Cosmos and culminating with Ea, or Middle-Earth. Certain of the Ainur are given dominion over certain forces - water, the wind, minerals, plants, animals, clouds, etc... but there is one among them - Melkor (Morgoth to some, in the existing films and latter tales) - who has been given the knowledge and power of the others, and becomes hot with anger and greed from Illuvatar creating his Children: Elves and Men, who dwell within the world. Thus Melkor sets out on a quest for supremacy over Illuvatar's new offspring as well as their domain. The battles that ensue are increasingly violent and massive enough as to wreak tumult over the lands and sunder them. Nonetheless, heroes are awoken from all corners of the land and from all races, marshaling what strength they can to keep Melkor at bay time and time again. Many characters there are, and many actions, with differences in scale and scope of what is rendered with the effects of these causes. See for yourself, and always remember - however dark circumstances can be, Light always follows! Believe in this Light and it will never falter.

A feature-length concept video detailing what my vision for a cross-platform Silmarillion film trilogy/tv series would be. No footage from the 'Lord Of The Rings' or 'Hobbit' films was used.
For those that aren't familiar with the book - Tolkien's "The Silmarillion" is an epic novel chronicling the ENTIRE HISTORY of Middle-Earth and its various peoples, heroes and villains. Illuvatar (a God figure) commands the Ainur to make a Great Music, setting in motion the creation of the Cosmos and culminating with Ea, or Middle-Earth. Certain of the Ainur are given dominion over certain forces - water, the wind, minerals, plants, animals, clouds, etc... but there is one among them - Melkor (Morgoth to some, in the existing films and latter tales) - who has been given the knowledge and power of the others, and becomes hot with anger and greed from Illuvatar creating his Children: Elves and Men, who dwell within the world.
Thus Melkor sets out on a quest for supremacy over Illuvatar's new offspring as well as their domain. The battles that ensue are increasingly violent and massive enough as to wreak tumult over the lands and sunder them. Nonetheless, heroes are awoken from all corners of the land and from all races, marshaling what strength they can to keep Melkor at bay time and time again.
Many characters there are, and many actions, with differences in scale and scope of what is rendered with the effects of these causes.
See for yourself, and always remember - however dark circumstances can be, Light always follows! Believe in this Light and it will never falter.
