The Maryland Statistical Analysis Center recently released Deaths Involving a Law Enforcement Officer 3-year Report 2013–2015. This report provides information relating to the cases where individuals died when law enforcement officers were present or when a law enforcement officer was killed in the line of duty. This report describes in detail the methodology used to gather and report on the information required under House Bill 954.

The Alaska Statistical Analysis Center recently released an AJSAC Fact Sheet - Sexual Violene Committed Against University of Alaska Students, by Gender. This Fact Sheet presents past year estimates of sexual misconduct and sexual assault victimization against University of Alaska (UA) students both on and off campus. Gender-specific estimates are provided for the UA system as a whole only. The results presented here are based on the survey responses of a randomly selected sample of 1,982 undergraduate and graduate students who were enrolled during spring semester 2016.

The Illinois Statistical Analysis Center recently released Juvenile Justice in Illinois, 2014. This report outlines juvenile justice statistics across the four process points in which data were available: arrest, detention, court, and corrections. Decreases in the statewide figures were noted across all of the data points examined, indicating that fewer youth were entering and moving through the system.

A new study examining the reported rise in homicides in large cities in 2015 called the increase “real and nearly unprecedented.” The National Institute of Justice commissioned criminologist Richard Rosenfeld a JRSA member and Founders Professor at the University of Missouri, St. Louis to examine whether there was a historically unexpected rise in homicides and present possible explanations for the increase across U.S. cities.

The Alaska Statistical Analysis Center recently released an AJSAC Fact Sheet - Sexual Misconduct and Sexual Assault Committed Against University of Alaska Students. This Fact Sheet presents the results of a survey conducted at the University of Alaska. It contains self-reported instances of sexual misconduct and sexual assault experienced by students between January 2015 and the end of the 2016 spring semester. Results are provided for the University as a whole, as well as broken down into UA's three main administrative units.

The Tennessee Statistical Analysis Center recently released Tennessee Law Enforcement Officers Killed or Assaulted 2015.This report presents analyses of incidents in which law enforcement officers were killed or assaulted in the line of duty in 2015. The information is collected through the Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System. Offenses included for analysis are murder and nonnegligent manslaughter, aggravated assault, simple assault, intimidation, and stalking.

The Tennessee Statistical Analysis Center recently released Domestic Violence Statistics 2013-2015.This study analyzes crime data collected from the Tennessee Incident Based Reporting System (TIBRS). Utilizing these TIBRS crime data, offenses flagged as domestic related from 2013-2015 were examined. Data is analyzed by offense and by victim.

The Alaska Statistical Analysis Center recently released an AJSAC Fact Sheet- Alaska Trauma Registry: Trauma Admissions Involving Firearms, 2009-2014. The ATR is a surveillance system of the Alaska Department of Health and Social Services (DHSS), Division of Public Health. Data collected include patient demographics, and information about the injury event, patient transport, treatment, and outcomes.

The New Mexico Statistical Analysis Center recently released Evaluation of Bernalillo County Metropolitan Area Project Safe Neighborhoods. The purpose of this evaluation is to determine whether the Project Safe Neighborhood initiative is being implemented in the way intended, to understand the perceived success of the initiative, and to pinpoint facilitators and barriers to implementation.

The Maine Statistical Analysis Center recently released 2016 Juvenile Recidivism Report. This report summarizes the data for diverted youth, supervised youth, and committed youth involved with the Department of Juvenile Services between 2008 and 2012. This report includes analysis of youth, offense class and type, facility, length of supervision, and participation in community reintegration when applicable.

This report is a statistical summary of crimes reported on campuses of all Tennessee institutions of higher education. The report presents the nature, volume, and extent of reported crime on the campuses and in the housing of Tennessee colleges and universities during calendar year 2015.

The Colorado Statistical Analysis Center recently released Marijuana Legalization in Colorado: Early Findings. This report served to establish and present the baseline measures to conduct these studies on a near-term basis, with additional data to be collected and provided to the public in the future. The sections of specific interest to the researchers were the impact on public safety, impact on public health, impact on youth, and any additional information that may have been affected by the legalization of marijuana.

This report documents findings based on data received by the Colorado Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ) within the Department of Public Safety regarding officer involved shootings that occurred during a 5½ year period between January 1, 2010 and June 30, 2015.
