Alone (B'z song)

Alone is the ninth single by B'z, released on October 10, 1991. This song is one of B'z many number-one singles in Oricon chart. The single was re-released in 2003, and re-entered at #8. It sold over 1,127,000 copies according to Oricon. It was used as the drama Hotel Woman's theme song. The song was the 10th best selling single of 1991 and the 56th best selling single of 1992, making their only single to chart for two years in the yearly charts.

In 2011, the song was certified digitally by the RIAJ as a gold single for being downloaded more than 100,000 times to cellphones since its release as a digital download in early 2005.

Alone (House)

"Alone" is the first episode of the fourth season of House and the seventy-first episode overall.

Plot

When an office building collapses, House has to work fast to diagnose a young woman, Megan, who survived the disaster. Due to her injuries, Megan's only form of communication is blinking with one eye.

In typical fashion, House's first instinct is to break into Megan's home to look for clues (tricking Wilson into joining him by telling him that he would take him to a restaurant for lunch). House discovers her diary and deduces that she must be on antidepressants. When confronted with this by House, Megan's boyfriend and her mother complain to Cuddy, who agrees with the diagnosis. However, the diagnosis fails as new symptoms continue to appear.

Throughout the episode, Cuddy and Wilson try to convince House to hire a new team, while House keeps insisting that he doesn't need one. Instead, he tries bouncing ideas off of a janitor, and even gives the janitor a white coat and has him pose as a doctor to Megan's boyfriend and mother. In an attempt to prove to House that he needs a team, Cuddy sends a memo out banning anyone in the hospital from assisting him in his diagnosis. Meanwhile, Wilson "kidnaps" House's guitar and leaves a ransom note.

Alone (2015 Kannada film)

Alone is a multilingual action film directed by JKS. Titled Alone in Kannada, it is known as Leela in Telugu and Karai Oram in Tamil. The film features Nikesha Patel in leading role and Vasistha, Ganesh and Iniya in the supporting roles, while Simran essays an extended guest role. The Kannada version of the film released in November 2015, while the Tamil film released in January 2016.

The film was announced in September 2014 to be a Kannada horror film titled Alone, but subsequently developed into a multilingual venture. Nikesha Patel was signed to play the lead role, while Kamna Jethmalani was considered for another role. Kamna was later replaced by Iniya for the second leading female role by the launch ceremony of the film.Vasistha was revealed to be playing a leading role, while M. S. Bhaskar and Singampuli were also noted to be a part of the cast.

Home directory

A home directory is a file system directory on a multi-user operating system containing files for a given user of the system. The specifics of the home directory (such as its name and location) is defined by the operating system involved; for example, Windows systems between 2000 and 2003 keep home directories in a folder called Documents and Settings.

Description

A user's home directory is intended to contain that user's files; including text documents, music, pictures or videos, etc. It may also include their configuration files of preferred settings for any software they have used there and might have tailored to their liking: web browser bookmarks, favorite desktop wallpaper and themes, passwords to any external services accessed via a given software, etc. The user can install executable software in this directory, but it will only be available to users with permission to this directory. The home directory can be organized further with the use of sub-directories.

The content of a user's home directory is protected by file system permissions, and by default is accessible to all authenticated users and administrators. Any other user that has been granted administrator privileges has authority to access any protected location on the filesystem including other users home directories.

Home is the second album by alternative rock band Deep Blue Something. It was originally released by RainMaker Records in 1994 and re-released on Interscope in 1995.

Home (Leah McFall song)

"Home" is a song recorded by British singer Leah McFall, the runner-up on the second series of the BBC talent show The Voice, featuring guest vocals from her show mentor will.i.am. Built around a sample from American indie folk band Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros's same-titled 2010 song, it was written and produced by Jean-Baptiste, Ryan Buendia, Michael McHenry, and will.i.am for McFall's debut album Weird to Wonderful, and released as its leading single on Capitol Records on July 27, 2014. This song also featured in the latest film, The Book of Life.

Background

On June 6, Mcfall announced the title of her first official single, "Home" featuring will.i.am. She also released the cover of the single on Facebook. The song premiered on BBC Radio 1Xtra on 9 June 2014, and will be released on 27 July 2014.

Music video

A music video, created for the single, features both McFall and will.i.am. It was directed by Elisha Smith-Leverock.
