A tribute to one of my favorite books of all time, Don Quixote! :) I truly believe youtube lacks them in this aspect, there should be more videos about this magnificent story, apart from boring school projects. This song by Coldplay just couldn't be more perfect for this, seriously! Too bad it was never officially recorded, so I have to apologize for the lack of quality, from both the song and the clips. I tried to give this video some sort of dream-ish feeling, messing around with colors and stuff. I also tried to synchronize the plot with the lyrics xD If you are doing a school project about this book against your will, then I hope this video can motivate you to like it somehow. I really, really hope you guys like it! It took me quite a while to make, but I had a lot of fun! ^^ ...

[Lyrics Gordon Lightfoot - Don Quixote] Through the woodland, through the valley Comes a horseman wild and free Tilting at the windmills passing Who can the brave young horseman be He is wild but he is mellow He is strong but he is weak He is cruel but he is gentle He is wise but he is meek Reaching for his saddlebag He takes a battered book into his hand Standing like a prophet bold He shouts across the ocean to the shore Till he can shout no more I have come o'er moor and mountain Like the hawk upon the wing I was once a shining knight Who was the guardian of a king I have searched the whole world over Looking for a place to sleep I have seen the strong survive And I have seen the lean grown weak See the children of the earth Who wake to find the table bare See the gentry in the count...

Cervantes' Don Quixote (SPAN 300) The professor introduces himself and the course. He starts explaining the reasons why Don Quixote is a masterpiece and its place and relevance in the history of Western literature. He then comments on the proper pronunciation of the word "Quixote" and the reasons of mispronunciations in French and English. A full explanation of the real title of the work (El ingenioso hidalgo Don Quixote de la Mancha) follows, along with some key clarifications about the language of the book and few basic notes on historical and cultural background. González Echevarría then moves to the present, commenting on Don Quixote's heritage in the Western world, proved by the use of words as "quixotic", and the success of its myth up to nowadays. http://free-audio-books.info/classics/don-quixote-audiobook/ Don Quixote audiobook, Volume 1 by Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra (1547-1616). Translated by John Ormsby (1829-1895). This is volume 1 of 2. Don Quixote is an early novel written by Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra. Cervantes created a fictional origin for the story in the character of the Morisco historian, Cide Hamete Benengeli, whom he claims to have hired to translate the story from an Arabic manuscript he found in Toledo's bedraggled old Jewish quarter. The protagonist, Alonso Quixano, is a minor landowner who has read so many stories of chivalry that he descends into fantasy and becomes convinced he is a knight errant. Together with his companion Sancho Panza, the self-styled Don Quixote de la Mancha sets out in ...

Honor was not just a word
To Knights of old who pledged their faith
In love over gold, love over gold
Now they laughed at his fantasy world
And maximized all the potentials to earn
The middle class was too blind to see
The true nobility of Don Quixote
Oh Oh Oh Don Quixote, fight your way into their hearts
Commit your hearts all
Oh Oh Oh Don Quixote, fight your way into their hearts
Commit your heart
How unreal are the dragons he slays
Is his coat of arms just an empty cliché
Colossal ignorance shared by the crowd
The brainless bigots cast an inhuman shroud
Many hearts and minds are going to waste
So many hearts and minds are going to waste
Hearts and minds are going to waste
So many hearts and minds
Liberal philosophies you wear like your clothes
The modern hypocrite he don't even know
Who could be proud of this blank generation
Who could be proud of this blank
I said, Oh Oh Oh Don Quixote, fight your way into their hearts
Commit your hearts all
Oh Oh Oh Don Quixote, fight your way into their hearts
Commit your heart
Sit there sit there watching
Oh Oh Oh Don Quixote, fight your way into their hearts
Commit your hearts all
Oh Oh Oh Don Quixote, fight your way into their hearts
Commit your heart
