"Battlefield" is a song by American recording artist Jordin Sparks, taken from her sophomore studio album of the same name. It was written by Louis Biancaniello, Ryan Tedder, Sam Watters and Wayne Wilkins, while production of the song was helmed by Tedder and The Runaways. "Battlefield" was released digitally in the United States on May 8, 2009, as the album's lead single. "Battlefield" is a mid-tempo ballad which draws from the genres of pop, R&B, pop rock and soft rock. The song's lyrics revolve around "a tumultuous relationship where neither side wants to compromise." The song's lyrical theme received comparisons to Pat Benatar's "Love Is a Battlefield" (1983), and its production was compared to Benatar's "We Belong" (1984).
"Battlefield" was well received by most music critics who praised its production and lyrics. In the United States, "Battlefield" reached number 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and number six on the Pop Songs chart. Outside of the US, it reached number five in Canada and reached the top ten in Australia, Ireland and New Zealand, and the top twenty in the United Kingdom. The song's accompanying music video was directed by Philip Andelman. It features Sparks on a field and flanked by flashing lights and smoke. To promote the song, Sparks performed on televised shows which included American Idol and Good Morning America. The song has been covered by English alternative rock band Fightstar which was performed on the television show One Life to Live.
The January 4 Tokyo Dome Show is a major professional wrestling show, held by Japanese professional wrestling promotion New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), held annually on January 4 in the Tokyo Dome.. NJPW often invites other promotions, Japanese and international, to participate in their January 4 Tokyo Dome Shows as well including several companies that have been involved in scripted inter-promotional rivalries such as UWF International (UWFi), Big Japan Pro Wrestling (BJW), All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW), Pro Wrestling Zero1 and Pro Wrestling Noah, as well as representatives from the Mexican Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) promotion. The shows have regularly featured wrestlers from American promotions such as World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) and has on these occasions been shown either partially or in full in the American market.
Battlefield is a documentary series initially shown in 1994 that explores the most important battles fought primarily during the Second World War and the Vietnam War. The series employs a novel approach in which history is described by detailed accounts of major battles together with background and contextual information.
The series provides a comprehensive narrative of the war; in addition to traditional tactical details, subjects such as personalities and motivations of the leaders, technological developments, management of war economies, strategic contributions of smaller battles, etc. are explored in terms of their contribution to particular turning points. The narrator (Tim Pigott-Smith) speaks throughout the series, seasons 1, 2, and 4, with no interviews of actual battle veterans. The show is entirely made up of archive footage and 3D graphics. Rare archive film, including rare colour footage specific to each battle is included.
Detailed analysis of the battle including leaders, commanders, soldiers and weapons is presented. Events preceding the featured battle are presented, as well as some aftermath details. The political and military situation before each battle. Explanations of weapons and tactics. Detailed analysis of the cause of each battle. The action in the context of the war as a whole. Informative maps and graphics.
Hardline is a radical regressive, deep ecology subculture that has its roots in the straight edge hardcore scene and is notable for its opposition to LGBT equal rights, birth control, and any sexual activity without purpose of procreation. From an initial founding statement the movement attempted a break with the straight edge and hardcore scenes. The founding statement and subsequent literature pushed a bio-centric view of the world, pro-life stance on abortion and much more extreme version of straight edge. Many hardline bands existed, the most well known of which were Vegan Reich and Raid.
The hardline philosophy forbids its adherents from smoking or chewing any form of tobacco, drinking alcoholic beverages, and using illicit drugs or modern medicines. Hardliners (as they are called) are expected to follow a strict dietary regimen based on the above-mentioned pillars of respect for innocent life and the "natural order". Hardliners eat only foods that are vegan and relatively natural (e.g. brown rice over white, evaporated cane juice over white sugar, organic produce over conventional, natural oils over hydrogenated). Human rights issues are also factored into the movement's food politics, and followers are urged to shun third-world cash crops such as coffee, chocolate, sugar, and most tropical fruits. Hardliners include caffeine in their stance on mind-altering drugs so the first two items are generally abstained from, but consumption of the last two is often given more leeway.
Hardline is an American hard rock band. Originally formed in 1991 by brothers Johnny Gioeli and Joey Gioeli, the band consisted of five members, Johnny Gioeli, Joey Gioeli, Neal Schon, Todd Jensen and Deen Castronovo. The band's most recent album is Danger Zone, which was released on May 18, 2012. Joey Gioeli has not appeared on a Hardline album since 2002's II. As of 2012, Johnny Gioeli remains the only original member of the band.
Hardline is a band created by brothers Johnny Gioeli and Joey Gioeli, who had previously played in the bands Killerhit and Brunette (which at one point was the top-drawing band in Hollywood, setting the all-time attendance record at Gazzarri's), later played in the band Gravity, and have since returned to Hardline. The band originally also included guitarist Neal Schon of Journey and Bad English, bassist Todd Jensen (ex-Sequel), and drummer Deen Castronovo. The group was marketed as something of a glam metal band, due to the Gioeli brothers having long hair and dressing in a glam metal style, but their sound had as much in common with hard rock and AOR. Two of the group's first songs were played in the movie "Rapid Fire" which starred Brandon Lee, the son of martial arts expert, Bruce Lee, at the actor's request.
Soná may refer to:
Son is a 2008 short film starring Nathalie Press. Financed and commissioned by Sony Vaio it was a branded content short that would become Viao’s first branded content film. It went on to win multiple awards including Best Film at Edinburgh International Film Festival and Best Film at Slamdance Film Festival, becoming both a commercial hit and critical success for Sony Vaio.
Sony Vaio commissioned three artists: musicians Plan B, DJ Norman Jay and filmmaker Daniel Mulloy to each create branded pieces of content for Sony Vaio.
Son was commissioned as a marketing tool for the Sony Vaio computer and actress Nathalie Press was cast in the lead role. In the filmmaker's hands a narrative was created in which the relationship with Sony Vaio became more subliminal to audiences than traditional product placement.
After winning Slamdance Film Festival Son was invited to become one of the first short films to feature on YouTube's newly opened Screening Room. Son's subsequent success led YouTube to promote Son on its US home-page as a featured video.

To celebrate Wrestle Kingdom 10 on January 4, 2016 I am uploading historic matches from the January 4 Tokyo Dome Show over the years in Virtual Pro Wrestling 2! I am also playing each match on the Expert difficulty! I am playing as The Great Muta against Masahiro Chono from their title versus title match at the 1993 Tokyo Dome Show which was called Fantastic Story in Tokyo Dome. I tried to emulate their outfits from that match as best as I could! Masahiro Chono was the NWA World Heavyweight Champion and Great Muta was the IWGP Heavyweight Champion. Chono won the NWA title on day 5 of the 1992 G1 Climax, defeating Rick Rude in the tournament final to decide the new champion since the title was vacated. A few days later on the G1 Climax special, Muta won the IWGP Heavyweight championship. U...

To celebrate Wrestle Kingdom 10 on January 4, 2016 I am uploading historic matches from the January 4 Tokyo Dome Show over the years in Virtual Pro Wrestling 2! I am also playing each match on the Expert difficulty! I am playing as Riki Choshu against Yoshiaki Fujiwara from the Jan 4 1994 Tokyo Dome Show called Battlefield. Fujiwara was actually at this year's Tokyo Dome Show, Wrestle Kingdom X, competing in the pre-show Battle Royal. He was 44 years old in 1994, to put that in some context. Choshu was defending the honor of NJPW in this match, as Fujiwara was representing his shoot style heavy promotion Fujiwara Gumi. Check out my Virtual Pro Wrestling 2 Let's Play series, where I elaborate on the gameplay of VPW2 and the infamous AKI wrestling engine, provide historical context and fu...

You're wearing your squeaky shoes
And right there taking a snooze
Is a tiger, so how do you walk on by?
Silently ... silently ... silent ... L-Y
You're a secret agent man
Who's after the secret plan
How do you act so they don't know you're as spy?
Normally ... normally ... normal ... L-Y
At an eating contest you boast
That you can eat the most
How do you down your fiftieth piece of pie?
Eagerly ... eagerly ... eager ... L-Y
On the lake your boat upset
And your clothes got soaking wet
How do you stand and wait for them to dry?
D-d-d-d-d patiently ... d-d-d-d-d patiently ... patient ... L-Y
In the public library
You fall and you hurt your knee
But the isgn says "quiet please," so how can you cry?
Quietly ... quietly ... quiet ... L-Y
Asyou walk along the street
A porcupine you meet
How do you shake his hand when he says hi?
Carefully ... carefully ... careful ... L-Y
You enter a very dark room
And sitting there in the gloom
Is Dracula! Now how do you say goodbye?
Immediately ... immediately ... immediate ... L-Y
