Australian's are set to spend 28% more on Christmas presents this year than last year.

Angus Kidman from finder.com.au told 3AW Breakfast the average figure is set to be $539 per adult, up from $419. 

"It's very easy to talk down the economy. People like spending money, and at Christmas you've got a chance to," Kidman said. 

With 47 days left until Christmas, some shoppers haven't wasted time getting ahead this festive season.
