RUMOUR FILE UPDATE: Apple in 'final stages' of negotiating deal to set up store at Federation Square

Date

Looks like the Rumour File has struck again.

Apple is poised to set up shop at Federation Square.

The technology giant is reportedly deep in negotiations with management and the Victorian Government about purchasing space for a new $50 million megastore at the landmark.

3AW Breakfast's Rumour File was first told about the proposal on March 2.

Apple has unsuccessfully been looking for a shop site in the central city for nearly a decade.

The company has stores at Chadstone, Doncaster and Southland but is yet to set up a flagship store in the CBD.
