Conjuring up an unflattering mental image stuffing your face could be the answer to staving off cravings for junk food, a UK study has found.

Reducing the temptation by imaginary eating could be the key, Dr Brittany Christian told Ross and John.

"The idea is if you imagine doing that from a third person perspective you're likely to eat fewer of them," she said.

"The best you can to do conjure up an image of yourself in your mind's eye, and if you're watching yourself eat, that's going to be the most effective of the mental imagery."
