Towles was born on March 20, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois. He had a sister by the name of Kai. Prior to acting, Towles briefly served in the United States Marine Corps.
In 1971, Towles began his acting career in Chicago where he performed as a member of the Organic Theater Company. He made his film debut portraying a minor role as a cop in Dog Day Afternoon (1975). Towles made his breakthrough role with Otis in Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. His character was based on real life serial killer Ottis Toole, who confessed responsibility for the murder of Adam Walsh.
Of course we all know him as Otis from Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer, but actor Tom Towles played many great roles. How about Cooper in the Tom Savini remake of Night of the Living Dead. And sheriff Wydell in Rob Zombie's House of 1000 Corpses. Thank you Tom, for giving us those wonderful performances. You will be missed. Tom Towles (1944 - 2015)

Ryan Jeffers (Mario Yedidia) is a high school student with a disability, implied to be from an injury. As a result, he spends most of his time reading comic books and imagining other worlds where he might have a great adventure. One day, he stops at his favorite Chinese restaurant, Ming's, and visits with the owner (Dennis Dun). Ryan claims he doesn't need any "Self Help" books, but takes the manuscript anyway.
