Bharti Singh

Bharti Singh (born 3 July 1986) is an Indian stand-up comedian and actress from Amritsar, Punjab, India.

Career

Bharti was the second runner-up of stand-up comedy reality series The Great Indian Laughter Challenge (Season 4) on STAR One, where she received acclaim for her stand-up comedy child character named "Lalli." She also appeared as a participant in Comedy Circus's 2010 series, Comedy Circus Ke SuperStars and Comedy Circus Ka Jadoo. And in 2011 she appeared in Jubilee Comedy Circus, Comedy Circus Ke Taansen and Comedy Circus Ka Naya Daur on Sony Entertainment Television. She currently hosts the show, Comedy nights bachao along with krushna abhishek.

Also in 2011, she acted in the TV series Pyaar Mein Twist on STAR Plus and later appeared as a contestant on the celebrity dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 5 (2012). In 2012 she hosted the television show Sau Saal Cinema Ke which telecasted on 15 December on Star Plus along with Karan Tacker, Ragini Khanna and Shruti Ulfat. She also appeared as a guest star on MasterChef India Season 3. She also appeared as a guest star on Nach Baliye 6.

Kapila

Kapila (Hindi: कपिल ऋषि) was a Vedic sage credited as one of the founders of the Samkhya school of Hindu philosophy. He is prominent in the Bhagavata Purana, which features a theistic version of his Samkhya philosophy. He is estimated to have lived in the 6th-century BCE.

Rishi Kapila is credited with authoring the influential Samkhya-sutra, in which aphoristic sutras present the dualistic philosophy of Samkhya. Kapila's influence on Buddha and Buddhism have long been the subject of scholarly studies.

Version of Hindu mythology describes Kapila as a descendant of Manu, or as the grandson of the Hindu god Brahma, or as an avatar of the god Vishnu.

Biography

The name Kapila appears in many texts, and it is likely that these names refer to different people. The most famous reference is to the Vedic sage Kapila with his student Āsuri, who in the Indian tradition, are considered as the first masters of Sāṅkhya school of Hindu philosophy. While he pre-dates Buddha, it is unclear which century he lived in, with some suggesting 6th-century BCE. Others place him in the 7th century BCE.

Sunil Grover

Sunil Grover (born 3 August 1977) is an Indian actor and stand-up comedian born into a Punjabi Hindu family. He did his schooling from Arya Vidya Mandir, Mandi Dabwali and from Guru Nanak College. He has done his masters in theatre from Panjab University, Chandigarh.

After having done local stage work for some time, he worked with Jaspal Bhatti and later ventured out on his own. Sunil's television career began as a movie jockey in the show Chala Lallan Hero Banne on the movie channel Filmy. He was the brand ambassador for the channel for a while.

He also acted in India's first Silent comedy show, SAB TV's Gutur Gu in the initial 26 episodes. He was part of the stand up comedy show Comedy Nights with Kapil and became immensely popular playing the fictional character Guthi. He later returned to play the role of father-in-law to the show’s lead Kapil Sharma.

Sunil Grover and Manish Paul started a comedy show on Star Plus, titled "Mad in India".
