---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Date and Time: Jul 22, 2013, 10:05hrs Location: Kazipet Jn. (KZJ); Distt. Warangal, Andhra Pradesh This video was taken on the journey of my shift to Delhi, for undertaking coaching in GATE and IES. And it will be a journey always etched in my mind. The reason for my anxiety was the weather, particularly in Central India at around that time. Due to the heavy rains slashing parts of Eastern Maharashtra, many trains were short-terminated in various places, while others were diverted through other routes like the Wardha-Akola-Khandwa route or the Wardha-Bhusaval-Khandwa-Itarsi route. I had as it experienced the worst by missing my scheduled journey in Karnataka Sampark Kranti 2 days ago, thanks to infamous weekend traffic Jams of Bengaluru city. I left home at 19:30, to YPR, which would have been more than sufficient on another day, but managed to reach just 5mins after the departure of the train, and found out at the station that I was not the only one to miss the train, there were more people who were standing perplexed and wondering what to do. So the next morning I went to the reservation counter and cancelled the KSK ticket, and managed to pull off a Tatkal ticket for the journey on 22691 Bengaluru Rajdhani on the 21st of July. This time, not wanting to take any chance, I reached the station about 3hours before the TOJ, and found out that the incoming Rajdhani supposed to reach in the morning at 06:40, reached at 14:00, late by 07:20 hours and it was diverted. Thus; my train which was supposed to depart on time, was also delayed by 20mins, which increased further by the time we reached Nagpur the next day. Coming back to my journey, I was in two minds as I waved my mom and sister good-bye, with my dad watching over my shoulders. It was the mixed feeling of both anxiety and happiness, anxious because we would reach Delhi very late and happy because we would run through a route I have never experienced before, so this thought made me think all night till the next morning at Secunderabad, where we reached 45mins late, and I met fellow Railfans and friends Sai Venkat and Prithvi Raj. They confirmed that my link from the KZJ Alco was LGD WAP7 30289. Please note that this was the time when it was regularly getting KZJ Alco between SBC and SC, before KJM WDP4/4B took over. And we left after a 20min halt, and those two confirmed that on that day, SBC Raj would travel in its regular route. Well, it was not a total loss; I would at-least reach with minimum delay. And as seen in this video, my 37mins late running SBC Raj pulled into KZJ pf1 while LGD WAP4 22237 leading the Satavahana express to SC pulls out of pf3 running 43mins late, and JHS WAG5H 24406 gives a small parallel action through pf2. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Satavahana express is a daily intercity service connecting one of South India's busiest junctions- Vijayawada to Secunderabad. It belongs to SCR, and gets a LGD WAP4/7 as its regular link. The train offers Pantry Car service and is known for its Veg cutlets according to a few Railfans' info. It has RSA with 17223/17224 Secunderabad-Kurnool Town-Secunderabad Intercity express. 12713 departs BZA at 06:10 daily and reaches SC at 11:45, covering 351kms in 5:35hrs at an average of 62.86kmph. 12714 departs SC at 16:15 daily and reaches BZA at 21:50, covering the 351kms at the same time and average. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rake/Coach Composition: LOCO-SLRD-GS-GS-GS-GS-GS-D5-PC-D4-D3-D2-D1-C1-GS-GS-GS-GS-SLRD.
