The biggest story from another huge Saturday of AFL action was Port Adelaide's upset victory over North Melbourne.
The Power ambushed the Kangaroos with a six-goal-to-none first quarter and never looked back.
The result keeps Port Adelaide's faint finals hopes alive and ensures that tomorrow's match between Melbourne and St Kilda is a virtual elimination final as the winner of that game will be two games outside the top eight like the Power.
But where does this leave North Melbourne?
Sure they are still relatively safe inside the top eight a couple of wins clear of ninth, but they are now enduring a very worrying form line.
The Kangas have now lost five games in a row for the first time since 2009 and have been defeated in six of seven matches since starting the year 9-0.
To make the finals, North Melbourne would have to win at least two more games and when you look at their run home it might not be such an easy task.
The Kangas face Collingwood, St Kilda, the Bulldogs, Hawthorn, Sydney and GWS in their last six games.
That last month in particular is brutal so they would want to make sure they beat the Pies and Saints otherwise they could very well be relying on teams below them faltering to fall over the line in the race to the finals.
Meanwhile, Adelaide catapulted themselves to second spot on the ladder after a hard-fought win over Collingwood tonight.
The Crows have now won eight games in a row for the first time since 2006 and they would be very confident now of not only securing the double chance, but an all-important first-up home final which could very easily lead to a home preliminary final... And we all know what could happen after that!
The Bulldogs have moved up to third spot thanks to their thumping win over the Suns and in the other result Richmond held off a plucky and inaccurate Essendon outfit by 19 points.
