GWS uses get-out-of-jail card to over-run Bombers
GWS had to summon everything it had to overcome a gallant Essendon at Etihad Stadium today.
The 27-point final margin does not do justice to the effort and fight displayed by Essendon today.
The Bombers led at quarter-time and half-time before the Giants' class rose to the fore to complete a 17.15 (117) to 12.18 (90) win.
Toby Greene booted four goals for the Giants while Matt Keneedy kicked three on debut.

GWS snatched the lead that term with a four-goals-to-one third quarter.
Big clash on the wing between Haynes and Fantasia. Both players were able to run off but I'd be surprised if they return, especially Haynes. Fantasia will be missed. He's been one of the Bombers' best, booting four goals.
