Shakedown – At Night (FGTN Toys Edit)

Paisley Skies EP

Denied Music is the brainchild of US producer/DJ Daniel Allen and his label bears the hallmarks of his taste in underground house, tech-house and techno.  In this vein Denied will be releasing Pablo del Monte’s ‘Paisley Skies’ EP available exclusively through Traxsource on 10th June.

This EP is for full moons and city lights. It’s for dropping the mundane for the moment, for the call. With a keen vocal and crisp bounce, the title track is cathartic house at its finest. The ‘Paisley’ instrumental belts the same invitation of the original, while del Monte’s ‘Dub Frequency’ evokes cosmic reggae soul.

Listen to Milk & Sugar’s latest banger, ‘My Lovin’

Following on from their debut single, ‘Heat (African Day)’, on seminal imprint Enormous Tunes, the esteemed DJ and producer pair return to their own imprint, Milk And Sugar Recordings, with their latest euphoric house entry, ‘My Lovin’.

This time round the duo has joined forces with Barbara Tucker, the iconic soul singer responsible for classics such as ‘I Get Lifted’, ‘Stay Together’ and more recently, ‘Live Your Life’.

‘My Lovin’ offers the usual high-energy, funk-laden groove that has become synonymous with Milk And Sugar’s music. A steady house rhythm leads the song, backed by joyous piano chords and summery synths, laying down the perfect foundation for the soulful, glossy vocals from Barbara.

‘My Lovin’ is available exclusively via Beatport on April 8th 2016, with the two remixes to be released on May 6th.

Jamelia – Superstar (Maxxx’s Jam Mix) Deep House / Nu-Disco

Jamelia – Superstar (Maxxx’s Jam Mix) Deep House / Nu-Disco

Jamelia – Superstar (Maxxx’s Jam Mix) has over 300 000 plays on Youtube. We have decided to find out about this fella Maxxx a bit more.

Hello guys, my name is Martin, 23 and I’m from Bulgaria. I am producing music already for 3 years and I really enjoy it. Most of my tracks sounds like deep house as well. I love to use old samples from the past. Nowadays, everyone uses that kind of samples, it’s very distinctive. I like my style and I think that’s the most important!

Well, this track was made unexpectedly. I heard the original version on the radio and I wanted to create my retouch of the song. When I’ve put the bass along the vocal I was surprised of that how they fit and decided to finish this one. Made it for a week or two…but the mixdown was a trouble (and still it is J). Anyway, I like it.

Name a track you love that no one else seems to have heard of: My last one, which isn’t finished yet. Haha

What music styles you cover and what do you listen nowadays ? I can’t say that I’m strictly fitted to one style. Firstly, I was affected from the GHouse sounds. I’ve always loved old-school hip-hop, so that was a good beginning. I still got some unreleased weapons, hah.  When was a long time ago, I’ve used to buy cassettes with albums and compilations of old electronic band projects, like “Westbam” and “Kraftwerk”. Recently, I like a lot of the tracks from MK, Amine Edge & Dance, Teenage Mutants, Sharam Jey and etc.

What do you do when you aren’t working on music? I listen to it. Deep House for me is defined as “Deep Touch”(of your soul). Music that can make you feel it.

Maxxx’s final words:  In the future I gotta finish all of the projects which I have started and hope to release them for good labels. Thanks everyone for the time, especially DeepHouseHQ team, you can follow me on: http://soundcloud.com/dmcshampion

Deep House HQ final words: Well Maxxx, in case we would pop in to Bulgaria at some point, we hope to get into your Event Guest List. Ahaha. Obviously, drop us a message if you will be hanging around London.

Bluford Duck: The Spirit Soul Mix

Spirit Soul And Rebirth

Here we go again!  After a good long, and need I say, well-deserved holiday the tables are turning once more!  Resolutions may have been made.  Resolutions may have been broken (I hope not guys, it’s still early days!).  But whatever the weather, House Songs resolves to do what it always has: bring the best, hand-picked, house music straight to you!

Bluford Duck was musically awoken by the early 90’s rave culture, driven by an ever growing desire for depth, quality and an unending search for the perfect kick drum.

Taking influences from 80’s Italo Disco, Rave and US House & Garage – Bluford Duck’s DJ sets and productions combine all of the above to create a dancefloor hybrid designed solely to move your feet.

Peer Kusiv Original

Locked Out From Peer Kusiv

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead.
In peace there’s nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility:
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger!

Here we have another great sound from Peer Kusiv simply entitled ‘Locked Out’.  This track is actually a remix of ‘Fade And Then Return’ by William Fitzsimmons, but this version we feel is much better.
