Crowded House are a rock band formed in Melbourne, Australia, in 1985. The founding members were New Zealander Neil Finn (vocalist, guitarist, primary songwriter) and Australians Paul Hester (drums) and Nick Seymour (bass). Later band members included Neil Finn's brother, Tim Finn, and Americans Mark Hart and Matt Sherrod.
Originally active from 1985 to 1996, the band has had consistent commercial and critical success in Australia and New Zealand and international chart success in two phases, beginning with their self-titled debut album, which reached number twelve on the US Album Chart in 1987 and provided the Top Ten hits "Don't Dream It's Over" and "Something So Strong". Further international success came in the UK and Europe with their third and fourth albums, Woodface and Together Alone and the compilation album Recurring Dream, which included the hits "Fall at Your Feet", "Weather with You", "Distant Sun", "Locked Out", "Instinct" and "Not the Girl You Think You Are".Queen Elizabeth II bestowed an OBE on both Neil and Tim Finn, in June 1993, for their contribution to the music of New Zealand.

Crowded House - Don't Dream It's Over. A very emotional last song from their farewell tour. So sad, Paul Hester is in tears. One of the best songs ever written. Thought I'd upload a decent quality version because the other videos on here don't do the song or the performance justice. Go and buy the DVD folks, you won't regret it!

Partial recording of a Crowded House concert. I'm not sure where but somewhere in Britain or Ireland.
I finally got around to digitising this. My first ever Crowded House show and it was a corker! Enjoy.

Great live concert from the CH. Probably my favorite taped performance of all time of theirs. I was supposed to seem the live in Columbus Ohio opening for Bruce Hornsby and the Range. Unfortunately, CH canceled to go play this concert in Daytona, FL. The upside is I've been playing this gem for over 20 years! Surprised the tape still works!
The boys, still young in their careers with CH, play Joan's show and perform "Don't Dream It's Over" and "Something So Strong" (and the director cuts off their last note!) She tells them they are adorable. They are

Adventures in the US - how are the wall hangings? :)
A Current Affair. Nick having a lot of fun with the noddies. Very cute.
A promo interview for their debut album in spring 1987 in its uncut glory. Very funny. Enjoy!

Interviewed by the late Brad Robinson. From Good Morning Australia. And Nick gets to sack Neil! :)
A somewhat strange interview with Neil and Nick from the Together Alone promo tour In 1995 or so, I traded a Daniel Ash solo CD, 5 blank VCR tapes, and postage for 10 hours of Crowded House video. I couldn't tell you the name of the person who did it, but it was quite a score for me. Some of it is pretty common, some of it obscure. I'm posting all the non-commercially available stuff. It is quite a project but another CH fan did me a favor 14 years ago and it is my turn to repay the favor. Watch all the videos and if you are a fan enjoy! PLEASE COMMENT, RATE, and SUBSCRIBE. I'd love to hear from you and I have dozens of more clips on the way!
Interview with Neil and Nick on Later... With Jools Holland, June 1994.
Why do I kid myself
Why do I scream for pleasure
It's four in the morning should know better
But she can weave a spell
Want it to last forever
Making me feel like somebody special
Can't carry on this way (just go to sleep)
Before it gets too late (just go to sleep)
Doing damage to my brain
Well here we go again
Though I look everywhere
I never seem to find it
Always a shadow around a corner
Drown it in alcohol
Stuck in the elevator
Hard to remember in the morning
Can't carry on this way (just go to sleep)
Before it gets too late (just go to sleep)
Doing damage to my brain
Well here we go again
Tell you about myself
If you're in the mood to listen
Baby you don't know who you're kissing
This is a lonely world
You are a strange companion
When you get what you wanted
You want to leave
Honestly I want to free myself
From the burden of inaction
Honestly I want to raise myself
To any plane I can imagine
Can't carry on this way (just go to sleep)
Before it gets too late (just go to sleep)
Doing damage to my brain
Well here we go again
