The Pacific Northwest (in the United States, commonly abbreviated as PNW), sometimes referred to as Cascadia, is a region in western North America bounded by the Pacific Ocean to the west and, loosely, by the Rocky Mountains on the east. Though no agreed boundary exists, a common conception includes the U.S. states of Oregon and Washington and the Canadian province of British Columbia. Broader conceptions reach north into Alaska and Yukon, south into far Northern California and east into Idaho and Western Montana, western Wyoming, and western Alberta, to the Continental Divide. Narrower conceptions may be limited to the Northwestern U.S. or to the coastal areas west of the Cascade and Coast mountains. The variety of definitions can be attributed to partially overlapping commonalities of the region's history, geography, society, and other factors.
The Northwest Coast is the coastal regions of the Pacific Northwest and the Northwest Plateau (also commonly known as "The Interior" in British Columbia and the Inland Empire in the United States) is the inland regions. The term "Pacific Northwest" should not be confused with the Northwest Territory (also known as the Great Northwest, a historical term in the United States) or the Northwest Territories of Canada.
Five years ago a 9.0 mag earthquake and tsunami devastated eastern Japan in 2011, and scientists say it's a question of when, not If, it happens here in the Pacific Northwest; research shows the region is overdue for a major quake. To prepare for a devastating natural disaster, officials are drawing up evacuation plans and greenlighting seismic upgrades. Don Dahler has a report on the efforts some communities are making.

After years of seeing imagery of the lush green trails from the Pacific Northwest have overwhelming influence on the media and culture of mountain biking, we decided it was time to go experience the rich, dark loam of the coastal regions for ourselves. So in the spring, we dusted off our trail bikes, packed up the rig and headed north to see what we could find. Roots and Reflections uses oral history to show how South Asian immigrant experiences were shaped by the region and how they differed over time and across generations. It includes the stories of immigrants from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka who arrived from the end of World War Ii through the 1980s.
On 20 October, 2016, Anderson Design & Fabrication installed its 2nd lift for the 2009 – 2013 Subaru Forester SH 4” Lift. Harley with FozRoamer from Southern California had its lift upgraded from a 2” to 4” ADF. Subaru-Adventures.com heard from Josh with Foztrek.com in Australia of FozRoamer’s visit at ADFs headquarters for the lift install. It was past due in taking the Subaru Loyale on an adventure and meet up with other Subaru enthusiasts. Having trustworthy, honest, and reputable local shops in the Pacific Northwest have been what many of us admire about the Subaru community for decades now. Custom fabricators and designers across the world work hard to engineer custom lift kits and other miscellaneous parts for both old and new generation Subarus. It’s not just Subarus, but the f...

Salmon Fishing Klamath River Northern California September 2014. My first time salmon fishing ever on the Klamath River, in Northern California early September 2014. Klamath River is located in Northern California, not too far from the Oregon border and the salmon and steelhead are abundant. I had a blast when we weren't arguing how to get the salmon on the boat. In this video there was more of a fight on the boat then in the water. I had no experience catching salmon but the other guys did. They were all trying to help but it got to be a little much. In the end, the salmon was caught, we all had a good time and I caught more than just a buzz.
