Speaking to business leaders today she now appears to be back-tracking on this commitment: "I can categorically tell you that this is not about mandating the direct appointment of workers or trade union representatives on Boards." If this turns out to be the case, it represents a huge missed opportunity to put in place a different model for British business.

Few things have corroded the relationship between working-class people on the one hand and their leaders in the Labour party and trade union movement on the other than the obstinate refusal of those leaders to treat concerns over unlimited immigration with the legitimacy they deserve, and to instead resort to boilerplate and patronising slogans.

I will never shirk from holding the Government account, pressing for fair energy prices, for renewable energy; for shale gas to be produced responsibly, and for communities to benefit from the local funds. But a fund devoted to the common good could unite politicians and public alike.

On the surface, my father was someone who had everything, yet he still chose to end his life. If his suicide has taught me anything, it's the importance to not hesitate in getting things out in the open, to share challenges and struggles with those you trust and to not be afraid of expressing who you truly are. I still continue to work on these skills myself and I deeply recognise them to be the remedy for the generations of men who choose to give up on their lives each day.

There is no point trying to deny it any longer: the election of Donald Trump has made the world a much more dangerous place. Suppose you are a national leader with ambitions that run counter to the interests of the US or of the Western powers more generally. With the EU in disarray, and a buffoon in the White House, what better opportunity will you have to put your plans into action?

The villain isn't the fossil fuel companies, Leonardo. It's us. It's society. It's each of us that enjoys the benefits of a civilisation fuelled by cheap hydrocarbons. The companies can't change it without failing in their duty to investors. You and I can't change it either - because a few rich people driving Teslas and fitting solar panels are outnumbered by millions who just want power and fuel to escape poverty.

Looking back, I wish I had known these things to help make me feel "normal" instead of having people tell me to stop and give up because I wasn't giving my baby what he needed when in fact he put on lots of weight very quickly and is a healthy and happy baby!

I'm imagining a world where we could walk into any salon and get our hair well looked after? We would no longer need to say 'natural' hair because it would be the new normal. We can overcome our vulnerability, celebrate our big curls and be inspired to take back our freedom. We don't have to wait for the world to tell us it's time to accept our hair.

When in danger education deserves to be fought for. On Saturday, thousands of students and lecturers from up and down the UK will do just that. We will march through the capital in defence of post-16 education, and put forward, collectively, our vision of a free, liberated and accessible education for all, at any point in life. Tories are imposing funding cuts and area reviews on colleges. Job losses, ever growing student numbers, and shoe-string support budgets are the reality for a growing number of FE students. Add to that the previous governments scrapping of Education Maintenance Allowance and a very bleak image of colleges in the UK emerges.

I was eventually diagnosed with HIV in 1996. I must have had about 20 or 30 negative HIV test results by then. It's not enough to know your last test was negative - if you've taken a risk since then, you could be living with undiagnosed HIV.

If the UK government isn't going to protect its Universities, then it should hand over powers to the Scottish government so we can ensure they continue to gain the greatest benefit possible from our fantastic international students.

Today is International Men's Day. CALM, Campaign Against Living Miserably, launches a new music project called 'Torch Songs', which invites any male musician to cover the song they go to for comfort and inspiration when life darkens.

Once seen as a tenure of transition into homeownership, private renting has increasingly become the last stop for many Britons. Politicians need to wake up to this reality and help voters get a foot in the door of their own homes.

I'm not saying that City's Student Union doesn't have a responsibility to oppose "fascism and social divisiveness in the UK media", it absolutely does. We all do. But what we must do is debate. We must try to understand each other. We must not silence any one voice in the hopes that it'll go away if we ignore it long enough.

In a land where it's possible to imagine that Messi will no longer be a Barcelona player just 18 months down the line, it seems fairly obvious (alright, semi-plausible if you think very wishfully) that he's destined for Manchester United when that time comes.
