Learn More: http://www.knowbe4.com Apple this week released a statement regarding what has been an ongoing battle for months. The FBI requested that Apple unlock the encypted iPhone belonging to San Bernadino shooter Syed Farook, they said no. Major tech companies, Twitter, Facebook and Google, are all siding with Apple Inc.'s plans to likely seek free-speech protection in an effort to block the request. Certainly this was not an easy decision to make. In the statement from Apple, CEO Tim Cook wrote that complying with the FBI would require the creation of a backdoor to the iPhone, a very dangerous precedent to make. Sure, this backdoor could only be used once but as Cook explains, once the program is written the same method can be used to access information on any iPhone in someone's ph...

The decision came after defense lawyers requested that Rahami be immediately arraigned on the set of federal charges he is facing. "The [federal] Government explicitly denies that it has arrested the defendant. There is no evidence to the contrary," Gorenstein wrote in a two-page order released Wednesday evening. http://www.politico.com/blogs/under-the-radar/2016/09/magistrate-federal-arraignment-bombing-suspect-228503 http://www.wochit.com This video was produced by YT Wochit News using http://wochit.com

On Tuesday a US magistrate ordered Apple to help the Obama administration hack into an iPhone belonging to one of the perpetrators in the San Bernardino shooting. The ruling by Sheri Pym requires Apple to supply highly specialized software the FBI can load on to the phone to cripple a security encryption feature that erases data after too many unsuccessful unlocking attempts. Federal prosecutors told the judge they could not access a county-owned work phone used by Syed Farook. They can not access the phone because they do not know his passcode. Farook and his wife, Tashfeen Malik, killed 14 people in a December 2nd shooting at a holiday luncheon for Farook’s co-workers. The couple later died in a police gun battle. http://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2016/feb/17/apple-ordered-to-hack-ipho...
