The Airbus A350 XWB is a family of long-range, twin-engine wide-body jet airliners developed by European aircraft manufacturer Airbus. The A350 is the first Airbus with both fuselage and wing structures made primarily of carbon-fibre-reinforced polymer. Its variants seat 280 to 366 passengers in typical three-class seating layouts. The A350 is positioned to succeed the A330 and A340, and compete with Boeing's 787 and 777.
The A350 was originally conceived in 2004, pairing the A330's fuselage with new aerodynamics features and engines. In 2006, Airbus redesigned the aircraft in response to criticism from several major prospective customers and renamed it the A350 XWB (extra wide body). Development costs are estimated at €11 billion (US$15 billion or £9.5 billion). As of December 2015, Airbus had received orders for 777 A350s from 41 customers worldwide. The prototype A350 first flew on 14 June 2013 from Toulouse, France. Type certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency was received in September 2014 and certification from the Federal Aviation Administration two months later. On 15 January 2015, the A350 entered service with Qatar Airways, the type's launch customer.

Snapchat: pauls_trips Twitter: @pauls_trips Business class on the Finnair A350! If you’ve browsed my channel uploads then you’ll know the very FIRST video I ever made for YouTube was a trip on Finnair’s A350 on its inaugural flight between Helsinki and London Heathrow. Finnair occasionally roster this aircraft on the London route because of the demand for cargo space. With such a big business class cabin, reward availability is always good! This flight is unmissable thanks to the fabulous business cabin, featuring a semi-private suite, flat bed and huge windows. This aircraft has definitely been a game changer for Finnair. Join me for the whole trip – including the Premium Finnair Lounge at Helsinki, boarding, taxi, takeoff, breakfast, cruise and landing at a blustery and cold London...

Airbus made available its first A350 XWB interior this week, and we thought you'd like a chance to compare it with the interior of Boeing's 787 Dreamliner. The two are more similar than different, with both featuring high ceilings and multicolored LED lighting to give a sense of space, and large stowage bins for passengers' carry-on bags. Both fuselages are built from composites, allowing higher humidity levels and higher interior air pressure at altitude, which increases passenger comfort. The Airbus interior is arguably a shade more conservative, because it offers neither the extra-large windows nor the distinctive elevated ceiling of the Dreamliner's "foyer," where passengers enter. The Airbus is a slightly larger aircraft, hence the "XWB" after the name, standing for "extra wide body."...
