AP Vice President and Washington Bureau Chief Sally Buzbee has been named the news agency's executive editor. Buzbee, who joined AP in 1988 as a reporter, spent the last six years in Washington, D.C. as chief of bureau, where she has overseen AP's coverage of the 2012 and 2016 U.S. presidential elections, the White House, Congress, the Pentagon and polling and investigative units.
