A Mandurah primary school teacher will face court charged with assault after grabbing a student and pushing him into a bookcase, police claim.
Police spokeswoman Susan Usher said the scuffle happened on August 31st in the classroom of a Peel District school.
Police say the 46-year-old teacher stood in front of the boy, grabbed his shirt and then pushed him, causing him to tumble into a bookcase behind him.
A man from Meadow Springs has been charged with assault and will from Mandurah's Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
