ASADA has confirmed that it will not pursue further action against Graeme Allan, Craig Lambert and Lachie Whitfield.
Allan and Lambert were suspended for 12 months and Whitfield for six months by the AFL last week on conduct unbecoming charges after Greater Western Sydney midfielder Whitfield went to stay at Lambert's home to avoid drug-testers in 2015. Allan, who had moved to Collingwood, quit the Magpies after accepting the ban. Whitfield cannot train with the Giants for four months but can return to training for the last two months of his ban in readiness to return to playing after round eight of the 2017 season.
ASADA CEO Ben McDevitt said on Monday that he did not believe further action was necessary.
"I have considered the brief of evidence compiled by the AFL following its investigation of allegations against Graeme Allen, Craig Lambert and Lachlan Whitfield. I have also received formal notification of disciplinary action and suspensions imposed by the AFL under its rules," McDevitt said.
"I note the investigation revealed no use or intended use of performance-enhancing drugs. Given the circumstances, I do not believe pursuit of additional action under the AFL anti-doping rules is warranted."
