Melbourne commuters faced peak-hour delays after a man was hit by a train at Frankston station on Monday afternoon.
Buses were replacing trains between Carrum and Frankston train stations, as ambulance paramedics treated the man who was hit by a city-bound train at 4.15pm.
An Ambulance Victoria spokeswoman said the man was later taken to The Alfred hospital with a shoulder injury.
A Metro Trains spokeswoman said authorised officers helped passengers disembark from the train involved in the incident, as well as another train heading towards Frankston.
Services resumed about 6pm.
However, commuters on the Sandringham line faced delays of up to 25 minutes during peak-hour due to a separate police request.
