The 2016 election has been one of the most powerfully charged in recent history, and now only a handful of candidates are left as we approach November, and the impending fate of the next four years of the united states of America. Donald trump… Hillary Clinton… and others are all vying for the title of president, but who will win and which states will decide?
Join us as we examine the battle… for the presidency and look at exactly who will be responsible.
Red.. blue… green… yellow… the presidency is a mixture of political factions all shooting for the bullseye to sit in the most coveted seat in the white house. And over the next few months, several key states that are also referred to as battleground states will be up for grabs by the candidates.
In a recent article posted by popular site politico, the writers came up with 11 states that will be the key to winning the election…
The general consensus lists Nevada, Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, ohio, Pennsylvania, new Hampshire, Virginia, north Carolina and florida… but some experts agree that just 7 of those 11 will really make a difference… and will be the “swing states”. But what exactly does that mean, why are these 11 important… and will the other candidates that you probably don’t even know really make a difference when it all comes down to it?
A swing state is often referred to as a purple state, being a mixture of blue and red… or a battleground state, where the candidates have to work hard to convince voters to choose them in order to gain the popular vote and have that state's electoral college choose them. No particular candidate has any measure of majority favor in these states.. so they must battle it out on the campaign trail in order to influence the voters in those states.
The general consensus in most cases is that each of these swing states begins with an equal amount of electoral votes.. and then that number will change through the day on election day. Swing states that oppose a certain candidates party can be influenced by the opposing candidate in some strange ways. that may have typically voted trump in the past might swing hard to the left in favor of Hillary.. simply because they can't stand Trump and his lack of traditional republican views and track record.
When it all comes down to it, Nevada, Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, ohio, Pennsylvania, new Hampshire, Virginia, north Carolina and florida will be in everyone's crosshairs on election night as the battle for the white house comes to its conclusion.

WASHINGTON — The American constitution states that the U.S. president must be a natural born American, be at least 35 years old, and have lived in the country for at least 14 years.
Presidential hopefuls typically come from America’s two biggest political parties, the Democrats and Republicans. There are also candidates from other parties or those who run as independents. However, the last victorious independent candidate was George Washington in 1792.
The last time an independent made a significant impact was in 1992 when tycoon Ross Perot took 18.9% of the votes. Then Democratic candidate Bill Clinton was the ultimate winner, knocking out the incumbent, Republican George Bush Senior..
Parties usually choose their nominees based on who ‘wins’ the most states in caucuses and primaries. In a caucus, a preferred nominee is decided through public debate and show of support, while at primaries, a preferred nominee is chosen through secret ballot.
Each party’s presidential nominee is officially announced in the summer at national conventions, where the winners also choose their vice presidential candidate. Next, everyone hits the campaign trail.
Candidates will focus particularly on ‘swing states’, places with a history of voting for different parties and ‘swinging’ results. Campaigning continues until election day, which is the Tuesday after the first Monday in November.
Unlike most democracies, the U.S. candidate with the most general votes does not necessarily become president. It is the candidate with the most votes from the electoral college that wins.
Each state has a number of electors equal to their Congressional representation ie 435 representatives and 100 senators, with 3 electors from the District of Columbia. To win, candidates need 270 of the 538 electors.
That winner is then usually announced on election night and inaugurated in January as the next president of the United States.

Presidential election
A presidential election is the election of any head of state whose official title is President.
Elections by country
Albania
The President of Albania is elected by the Assembly of Albania who are elected by the Albanian public.
France
The President of France is elected for a five-year (since 2002) term by the public.
Iran
The President of Iran is elected to a four-year term by the public. The first Presidential election in Iran was held in 1980, following the Iranian Revolution of 1979 which resulted in the overthrow of the monarchy, although the President's power is second to the Supreme Leader who has absolute power in the government.
Israel
The President of Israel is elected by the Knesset to a single seven-year term, though the role of the President is largely ceremonial as the real power of the country is in the hands of the Prime Minister.
Ireland
The President of Ireland is elected by the Irish people for a seven-year term.
Mexico
The President of Mexico is elected for a six-year term by the public. The first presidential election in Mexico was in 1934, although these weren't considered to have met international standards until 1994.

Donald John Trump, Sr. (born June 14, 1946) is an American businessperson and media personality. WASHINGTON — The American constitution states that the U.S. president must be a natural born American, be at least 35 years old, and have lived in the country for at least 14 years. Presidential hopefuls typically come from America’s two biggest political parties, the Democrats and Republicans. There are also candidates from other parties or those who run as independents. However, the last victorious independent candidate was George Washington in 1792. The last time an independent made a significant impact was in 1992 when tycoon Ross Perot took 18.9% of the votes. Then Democratic candidate Bill Clinton was the ultimate winner, knocking out the incumbent, Republican George Bush Senior.. Parties usually choose their nominees based on who ‘wins’ the most states in caucuses and primaries. In a caucus, a preferred nominee is decided through public debate and show of support, while at primaries, a preferred nominee is chosen through secret ballot. Each party’s presidential nominee is officially announced in the summer at national conventions, where the winners also choose their vice presidential candidate. Next, everyone hits the campaign trail. Candidates will focus particularly on ‘swing states’, places with a history of voting for different parties and ‘swinging’ results. Campaigning continues until election day, which is the Tuesday after the first Monday in November. Unlike most democracies, the U.S. candidate with the most general votes does not necessarily become president. It is the candidate with the most votes from the electoral college that wins. Each state has a number of electors equal to their Congressional representation ie 435 representatives and 100 senators, with 3 electors from the District of Columbia. To win, candidates need 270 of the 538 electors. The 2016 election has been one of the most powerfully charged in recent history, and now only a handful of candidates are left as we approach November, and the impending fate of the next four years of the united states of America. Donald trump… Hillary Clinton… and others are all vying for the title of president, but who will win and which states will decide?

Red.. blue… green… yellow… the presidency is a mixture of political factions all shooting for the bullseye to sit in the most coveted seat in the white house. And over the next few months, several key states that are also referred to as battleground states will be up for grabs by the candidates.
In a recent article posted by popular site politico, the writers came up with 11 states that will be the key to winning the election…
The general consensus lists Nevada, Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, ohio, Pennsylvania, new Hampshire, Virginia, north Carolina and florida… but some experts agree that just 7 of those 11 will really make a difference… and will be the “swing states”. But what exactly does that mean, why are these 11 important… and will the other candidates that you probably don’t even know really make a difference when it all comes down to it?
A swing state is often referred to as a purple state, being a mixture of blue and red… or a battleground state, where the candidates have to work hard to convince voters to choose them in order to gain the popular vote and have that state's electoral college choose them. No particular candidate has any measure of majority favor in these states.. so they must battle it out on the campaign trail in order to influence the voters in those states.
The general consensus in most cases is that each of these swing states begins with an equal amount of electoral votes.. and then that number will change through the day on election day. Swing states that oppose a certain candidates party can be influenced by the opposing candidate in some strange ways. that may have typically voted trump in the past might swing hard to the left in favor of Hillary.. simply because they can't stand Trump and his lack of traditional republican views and track record.
When it all comes down to it, Nevada, Colorado, Iowa, Michigan, Wisconsin, ohio, Pennsylvania, new Hampshire, Virginia, north Carolina and florida will be in everyone's crosshairs on election night as the battle for the white house comes to its conclusion.

WASHINGTON — The American constitution states that the U.S. president must be a natural born American, be at least 35 years old, and have lived in the country for at least 14 years.
Presidential hopefuls typically come from America’s two biggest political parties, the Democrats and Republicans. There are also candidates from other parties or those who run as independents. However, the last victorious independent candidate was George Washington in 1792.
The last time an independent made a significant impact was in 1992 when tycoon Ross Perot took 18.9% of the votes. Then Democratic candidate Bill Clinton was the ultimate winner, knocking out the incumbent, Republican George Bush Senior..
Parties usually choose their nominees based on who ‘wins’ the most states in caucuses and primaries. In a caucus, a preferred nominee is decided through public debate and show of support, while at primaries, a preferred nominee is chosen through secret ballot.
Each party’s presidential nominee is officially announced in the summer at national conventions, where the winners also choose their vice presidential candidate. Next, everyone hits the campaign trail.
Candidates will focus particularly on ‘swing states’, places with a history of voting for different parties and ‘swinging’ results. Campaigning continues until election day, which is the Tuesday after the first Monday in November.
Unlike most democracies, the U.S. candidate with the most general votes does not necessarily become president. It is the candidate with the most votes from the electoral college that wins.
Each state has a number of electors equal to their Congressional representation ie 435 representatives and 100 senators, with 3 electors from the District of Columbia. To win, candidates need 270 of the 538 electors.
That winner is then usually announced on election night and inaugurated in January as the next president of the United States.
