I’ve got the best job in the world. I think about my day and weeks and months and years — I put them in three buckets: people, strategy and execution. I sort of move between those on a daily basis as to where I put my time. I always think the most important one of those is people. If you don’t get that one right, it doesn’t matter what kind of energy you have in the other two — it’s not enough.

Watching the Olympics as a family

We don’t watch a lot of TV as a family these days. The kids would rather do other things and there are only a few shows that Lauren and I watch anyway.

But the Olympics is an entirely different story. All of us are completely taken by the stories, the dedication and of course the competition.

My oldest daughter cried when Simone Manuel won and cried last night. I looked over and saw my wife teared up. (I might have or it was allergies, not sure 😜)

Today we will watch the US Women’s match as a family along with some friends that are coming over. It feels very old school to sit around the big screen and share this experience together.

And that is mighty fine with me.
